Finally, Chrome mobile defaults to tab switching within the app

Google first introduced this feature with the launch of Lollipop on the Motorola Nexus 6 to show off the OS’ new ability to show individual app processes among other apps in the multitasking window. Although, putting Chrome’s tabs in the app switcher makes it so easy to lose a past tab and makes it impossible to clear all Chrome tabs.

It looks pretty neat, but personally I also disable the option on all my phones

    This feature was never removed. I have been using for quite a while.

          Not a popular feature at all. I guess it was enabled by default so people will know it was there and try it out as well. They needed to see if people liked the feature. Now, they have their answer and people now know it is there if they need it.

                  As soon as I saw it making separate apps I quickly just went to settings and turned the feature off. Don't really care what the default is, but it makes a lot of sense to leave the feature off by default.

                    pretty sure many will notice the change. stopped using chrome because of that stupid 'feature'. didn't realise there was an option to fix it.

                        There were times I loved it and a couple of times it caught me out.

                        Making the user preferred setting the default, and letting advanced users make it work the way they want is a better way forward

                            I do care, and I used to disable this feature every time I buy a new phone and install Chrome.
                            It was so annoying just like what the author said
