Herodroid, 20 Mar 2016though, can't believe that 8 core CPU is more battery effic... moreI think that the exynos version has better battery life because it uses the low power a53 cores when it plays videos, talk ține etc. These cores are a lot better for battery life eficiency. And anyway, these 8 cores are never used all at full power, most of the ține the CPU is dual-quad core.

Exynos got very low power consumtion(see on n.b.check.net) and thats even without turned saving mode on. Last time I saw similar bat. performance it was probably Z3compact. I guess it may be another way of samsung showing off its chips.

AnonD-79616, 20 Mar 2016Sadly even in performance the SD820 lose. Check out Android... moreWhich phone is using S820 right now to prove that?

If you say Mi5, there are plenty speedtest on Youtube that even the higher version with full speed is just comparable to last year Exynos 7420.

And even if Samsung did "something" to the S820 version, the result comes together with saving the battery life, which means making 2 phone a bit closer.

They say there is noticeable speed deference between them. This is not to say that the SD820 is bad . Other phones use SD820 and it is smoking fast. It is Samsung who is in fault here. They probable done something to lower it speed or they did't optimize it like their own Processor.

In my opinion I would definitely tread away a few benchmark scores for a better battery life. The processors are quite comparable Snapdragon has slight edge in some departments. But battery life of Exynos is quite impressive... If Samsung somehow integrates some more powerful gpu, impressive fc, along with their solution of QC 3.0 in the Note 6 it will be a worthy contender of phone of the year

Wow, the battery life of these phone are different. Performance or battery life?

though, can't believe that 8 core CPU is more battery efficient than 4 core CPU lol.

We want both performance and battery life. Not a dilemma.

AnonD-257034, 20 Mar 2016I honestly didn't see that coming. It seems that the only t... moreCPU seems 1 by 1 but SD has bigger single core score which is more important than multi core.

I honestly didn't see that coming. It seems that the only thing the SD820 has going for it is the better GPU and better XDA support.
