Original wave is still flagship model. Wave 2 is for Russia and Asia. As far as I can see it does not have 3g and relies on n wifi.

OK Hey Hello Guys
Now The SAmsung S8500 Wave has hit the stores and then shortly after there is a Second Wave (Wave 2) or maybe it is called what S9000 or S8900(8910 Or somthing like these) But Actually i think This WAve 2 Phone Will Be The Rumored W880 AMoled 12mp 3x optical Zoom witch has been upgraded to the bada and bluetooth 3 and comes with Wifi n and so GPRS (GPS Though) and !!!!!! nothing ....
But i really Hope there will be a new phone (Wave) with more Screen Size (like 3.7" Super AMOLED with 800x480 or higher would make it fantastic , More CAmra Resolution (seems 8 Mega is good but 12 is perfect) and so then a good price is all the way (whole 10 yard yay! :) :D ) ok.... for now but one thing i think we better CAll This New Wave (wave 2 phone)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>" i Wave "isnt that good ? :)

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2010Samsung is flooding the market with different phones, they ... moreThat's right dude.
why buick launched CX I-4(182hp) and more premium and of curse powerful CXS V6(280hp)together ?
because buick said to it self what if some one didn't need V6 and 280hp engine?what if some of it's options are unnecessary for some people?then one of the buick's top execs yelled: GOT IT!! WE'LL MAKE VARIOUS DIFFERENT MODELS SO CONSUMERS WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO PICKUP RIGHT MODEL THAT MATCH TO THEIR NEEDS AND POCKETS.
that's all...

This is not Beam, I hope. The device known from the pictures of MWC2010 looks much better (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i8520_beam-pictures-3150.php). Should this really be the Beam, Samsungs designers would have made two steps backwards.

I've just had a brainstorm. This pic looks like the other Galaxy Apollo I5801 phone to advertise to us that the I5801 in the foreground is the bigger brother of the I5500 in the background. I think I've solved this unknown phone both running BADA. If that's true, it still leaves samsung unveling the 3 android devices, & that leaves the beam being a great possibility still.

The 1st reason for my thinking is that this so called BEAM? from GSMarena. We were shown a completely different BEAM design unit which is supposed to be running ANDROID. Which brings me to my 2nd reason that this device in the pic looks like the BADA OS to me. My third reason I didn't think they could compact or hide the PICO projector this well, it doesn't look likeley with this pic unless they've sudennly come up with a profoundly new PICO projector design which doesn't ...look likely!:( fear not I'm sure it's the newer wave or omnia pro 4 or something like that in this pic, it definately can't be the BEAM. Although if it is, the newer shape definately looks like some variation of the I series phones.
Think about this carefully. It sounds only logical that they would release the BEAM I8 series at the same time as the I9, the I5 etc... After all it was expected to be released July, so it falls to now being the right time to release this BEAM with a beta tester & sample unit for tech review sites.

Well it looks interesting. Looks like samsung are looking to build a solid ground. It's probably to help attract more dev support for to strengthen their BADA OS APS marketplace, perhaps other platforms such as ANDROID. The more handsets the better especially if they are BADA. Whether it will take off or not, don't know.
The Wave 2 looks like that could be the mob in the last pic. However the Wave 2 pro with qwerty or the Omnia pro 4 could be a BADA, or Win Mobile 7 devices, or ANDROID, it's unsure. I don't think that this "BEAM?" highlighted guesse is the BEAM though that's just my opinion. The evidence just doesn't look right in that context.
I think its one of the other phones mentioned above. I'm frought with anticipation as to whether the BEAM will be unveiled tomorrow, we could be delighted or dissapointed. All this rumoring, excitement is instilling a heavy burden on my feelings.
I'm somewhat hopeful. Hope everyone else is. There's some possible proof that the more positive thoughts of a wide area of people may help bring a positive outcome. Ofc I'm just spieling things off now in an attempt to improve the chances of it happenning. What say you?

Wave > Wave2. When samsung introduced bada OS, they said wave will be top handset with bada. here is link with bada devices: http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/04/05/new-samsung-bada-phones-with-qwerty-keyboards-coming/

Wave goodbye. Just bought this handset. Could already be superseded in the near future. Good job it's an amazing phone, otherwise I might have been upset!

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2010omnia pro 4:
larg 4 inches 800x480 super amoled display
... moreI find your idea great! But this phone will cost toooo much! If OmniaPro 4 comes out with 5mp dual led, 2 GB internal, and 3.7" Super Amoled, it will be cheap enough, and will still have great specs!
The best solution, would be Samsung to make 2 new OmniaPros, 1 with the specs you said, which would cost at least 600euros, and one with my specs which would cost about 500 euros or less.
I don't like WinMo, and prefer Bada and Galaxy(it's possible to see a Galaxy Pro soon) but if Omnia Pro 4 is the most beautiful of other PROs :P, maybe I'll buy this...
