R&D and 'super lcd' cost money.
We can always buy knock off phones that sound equal or similar by the spec sheet, but actually bringing flagship tech to market costs something....
Let the people with their cheap phones celebrate getting 'best bang for buck', whilst those with the $$$ enjoy the best available....
Bringing down the glare/reflectance IS a big deal. Well done

As Wikipedia explains what LCD 5 is makes me wonder wouldn't that make the actual display more vulnerable to impacts???

OK, so is this modeled after an iPhone or a Samsung o_O, I thought the article was about an HTC device but it looks nothing like one, so much for unique design.

They've been calling LCD screens "super" since 2013... This is just an incrementally new generation of the same old shit and something probably broadly inferior to amoled.

HTC produce good phone, i agree with this.....But their marketing strategy very poor

The front looks good a bit like iphone but still good hope the back is good as well not ugly like m9 or g5

Would like a loud speaker, Dual Sim, Worldwide 4G LTE bands support, external memory card slot support and No Facebook pre-installed on device. Just saw new HTC X9 in Taiwan. Comes with Facebook pre-installed with no uninstall option for it.
