US supreme court users have finally switched to android.
As a result their verdict issued a few years ago needs to be reviewed.

Damn I hate patents, they are just being abused, they should be non-transferable and should not last longer than the time it took to research/develop the thing being patented. That way we'd get rid of the patent trolling businesses that only exist for that singular purpose, and it would not be possible to monopolize patents on ideas that anyone trying to solve the same problem is likely to think up trivially anyway.

Also the market will drop due to panic as apple share have a effect on other markets .

One example is with that fingerprint scanner on button, apple 'patented' it, but for f*ck sake, why? Thats obvious that this technology should be open source, same as smartphone, touch screen and etc. If someone would have patented very first smartphone, then technology wouldnt go far with these patent wars. Apple can patent something like 3d touch or idk, which is not a must have in everg device. But when fingerprint scanners exists, they must have ability to be implemented anywhere, but 'oh, im apple and i can patent anything, cuz i have a lot of money'

People w... moreNot really, its true that you might have some rights over the idea but what happen if you dont have the means to apply it?. if someone else can improve it and has the means to implement in a way that can generate profits why not? Most of the technology that we have right now came from a base idea that was took and improve by someone else might sound unfair but thats the way it works. If you kept the idea for yourself and dont let anyone else use youre capitalizing the idea. The best way possible is if you have a good idea sell it, companys took ideas to implement by taking chances and seeing the potential for an idea to be sold, Apple and all other companies have been doing the same since they were founded so whats the big deal? intellectual property is stupid the idea must be used by the person who can improve it

Aspros, 22 Mar 2016Apple will win for sure in the US, as they are a US company... moreWell.. not exactly.. back in 2012 it was the case, but not anymore. 1st Apple recently given hard time to all american institutions (e.g. FBI case) so it is heavy pressure to punish them for not cooperating. 2nd they do not pay 90% of their US taxes and instead avoids paying taxes in off-shore heavens (to be precise $187 billions are held and un-taxed in US) so actually apple does not contribute to US economy. 3rd they do not even employ many people in US only about 60k from whom 90% are low paid retail staff, so maybe only few k of permanent employees in silicon valley who really counts. That said US courts have no reason to support apple and it doesn't really contribute in any way to US economy and it is not even the unquestionable cool brand. I hope the court not only going to overturn the case, but as well fine crapple for wasting Jury time with their invalid patent cases.

And if you bothered to review the news you'd see that they also argue the jury wasn't given all the details about the design patents, so they haven't conceded to copying the design patents either.

Apple will win for sure in the US, as they are a US company, that greatly affects US financials.
So far they had the full gvrm support, even when they were obviously pattern trolling and abused justice system.
This is a faint from the US gvrm, they are trying to proove a point here, that they can drop their full support on Apple, unless they behave. Probably, Apple will concede, silently deliver the decriptions codes to the feds and they will make sure that they will get their reward from Samsung. Most likely, we will never go...

People who developed technologies invested their time, money, health to develop something! So, they should give it someone to free? They deserve more money, profits than those who use it, package and sell it. As these people are really making life easier and changing the world for better, while others sell it just for profits!

first and foremost everybody and their mother knows the whole design-copy lawsuit was a piece of crap to begin with, the phones were quite different back in the day already and the fact that the first judge and jury were incompetent enough to realize it only shows that this was biased.... progressing to current design you can se a clear difference, ifans used to call out samesung before when nothing is further from the truth, its actually the iPhones boring, repetitive, washed out design that keeps coming back and samsung constantly pushing boundaries of tech in the phones, nothing but a processor with marginal better performance in single core (when everything is compiled for multiple core support) is the best offer of Apple in every device, small battery, inferior camera, less storage...
