@oz
The phone looks like any other simply designed touchscreen phone and quite a nice one at that.
Did you see where the phone is going to be released first? South East Asia. There are parts of the world where most people can't afford phones as high specced as the Wave but still want to look cool, touchscreen, camera, whatever.
I guess everyone just better get used to the idea that Wave 1 is the top of the line and bigger numbers => further down. Just think of it like the results of a race!

What a pointless phone. The current wave is relatively cheap and is price more competitively then most of its competitors. Oh not to mention the fact that this is only just more attractive then a prolapsed mule, although slightly better then the new nokia X5 which is worse.

i really hate that they arrange the numbers key the top row , i want the number arranged in a 3x4 type on the left side of the keypad .

When I first heard about the Wave 2, I thought that it will be better than the first wave. The name is misleading.

On another note on this phone, I wonder if samsung will really come out with a QWERTY version of the current Wave? I love playing games using the QWERTY keyboard, touch screen is just not good enough in my opinion for gaming. Plus the tactile feedback of QWERTY. Well im not worried by year end Samsung probably will have a true successor to the current wave.

QWERTY seems nice. I think they are trying to make affordable phones with BADA OS. If i could afford then surely i'll give a try for Bada.

It sounds like "Wave half" would have been more appropriate naming than "Wave 2" for this couple. Really odd naming...

Samsung is taking battle with Nokia to higher level with such promising devices. Nokia you better be prepared.
About these two devices, these are nothing but Star with Bada OS. And as expected Samsung will soon change all their dumbphones with Bada smartphones. Coming time will be really tough for Symbian.
