23 March, 2016
Google has announced that the Chrome app launcher - which the company claims makes Chrome apps easy to open outside the browser - will soon be removed from all major platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Well, I do not really find this useful. I just like the idea that when opening a new tab, apps are displayed on the window. I have already several apps tho that is why.

The only acceptable Google products are: Search, Maps, Translate. Everything else should be avoided by all means. (especially considering that everything else except Search, Maps and Translate are poorly designed spyware products)

I use chrome browser on my desktop but not on my tablet (Surface 3). Uses too much battery and resources. So the Edge browser will do for now.

This is no damn useful for me, I open apps directly from here and also search directly from here. So convenient for me.

I don`t use Crime launcher, rather I use "More tools" in Chrome menu to Add to Desktop... and use "Open as window" feature.

Signal Private Messenger -- I hope you guys are reading this and already coming up with a new desktop client that isn't bound to Chrome.

At the end of the day -- just Google getting rid of another product.

Just the normal course of things. People started moving away from Google products after learning how their data is used and how they are being monitored and tracked. Not to mention the lack of quality and useful features in their apps - which also makes people move away to other, better services.

Soon, only the ignorant and tech illiterate people will keep on using Google products.

Will definitely miss this app in July,
though many were not aware of this app but it was very useful.

I found it quite useful especially for using Google Keep. It proved to be a true companion for me be it in making notes, to-do list or sharing things with others because of lightweight app as compared to Google Docs.
Alas, I have to find something else now.

Good, it was a bloat ware that would often install without wanting or needing it.

                                  Good riddance I say...
