What's the problem being on KK? Global MIUI has December security fixes and it is blazing fast and stable. It is a great ROM. And Mi3 as Mi4 are both still beast performers and unaware of what lag means.

I just wish Xiaomi could or wanted to go global at once with all its products!

To all the Xiaomi Haters, here's your answer-

Well Well Well, This is Xiaomi!
I have used a lot many smartphones in last 10 years (Yes, considering Nokia 6600 a smartphone with multitasking!) and have spent 7 recent years with Android(Incredible S being the first) and iOS(from 3GS).

To understand a Xiaomi, you need to use a Xiaomi!

Give me one reason for if Xiaomi is a stupid chinese brand like others, why don't Gionee, Lava, Xolo, Micromax, ZTE etc get such fan-love?

Why I prefer Xiaomi over "every other" because Xiaomi is committed to quality. Their products are so well crafted that it is impossible to find a flaw!
I have more than 11 Xiaomi Products including phones and accessories apart from Samsung Galaxy Note 3!

      Talk about quality.

Many people complain that MI3 and MI4 never got Android 5.0. Its true. But I need to understand this technically that "what actually are updates meant for?".

Update is not only just bumps the number, but should also be valuable.
Valuable in sense of performance, features, stability and security.

Any benefit of providing Android Lolly for your device and rendering it useless?
Its a proven fact that Android Lolly had major performance issues. Google it!

For Xiaomi, its never about Android K or L or M or even N in the future.
Its always about MIUI 5 or 6 or 7 and so on.

MIUI 5 had features that no other OEM was providing. MIUI 6 came with Flat UI, much earlier than many. MIUI 7 offered many Lolly-features while being on top of KitKat(in case of RedMi 2, MI 3, MI 4)

      Performance?
Compare any MI4 with Galaxy S6 camera. I am not talking about optics. S6 has better image quality. But speed? I have used both the devices for more than a week, and then returned my S6 due to some issues but I must say 'blazing fast' is the term for MI4's camera. Faster than double-pressing the home of S6!

      Stability?
MIUI is so stable, that it is the only custom baked Android Skin which is available for more than 280 devices. Need proof? Go to website!

      Security?
MIUI has an inbuilt security app that provide every control you can think of over installed apps. More than latest Smart Manager in TouchWiz.

      Still concerned about updates?
MIUI developer(which is as stable as 'stable') gets updates every 14(min) to 21(max) days!

      Talk about chinese brands. LOL

These is nothing wring with an Asian brand dudes!
      Chill!

there are plenty of mm-based roms available for cancro (mi3/mi4), there's cm13 nightly, and now miui, too. you can always get the latest miui roms with localization and chinese bloatware removed on xiaomi.eu

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2016Yeah, their last flagship only now get marshmallow (6 month... moreAre you really doing a comparison between Samsung, Sony vs xiaomi??? Ok let's get this straight.. The Xiaomi MI3 launched in 2013, around that time, Samsung launched the S4 and Sony launched the xperia Z1.. These phones are stuck on 5.0.1 and 5.1 respectively, with no news for updates to marshmallow. Heck even the newer models from these companies like the S5 or Z3 might not get android 6.0. Now at the time the phone was launched in my country, I purchased it for 200 USD, from Xiaomi itself. Where as the S4 launched at 650 USD and the Z1 launched at 670 (as per current conversion rates). More than 3 times the phone. I dam expect to get updates immediately if I'm paying that much money. I'm happy with my Mi3, not given any issues since purchase.

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2016Yeah, their last flagship only now get marshmallow (6 month... moreyou are right on that, people jump more on Sammy and others than they do on Chinese manufacturers. Maybe because the pricing is also so different. Take for example the S7 and Mi5 ... more or less the same specs but one is half the price of the other. Don't know you, but if i pay 800Euros for something i expect for the 2years of warranty/os updates to get FAST updates(1 month from Google PUBLIC release for example). Do that and i will be a satisfied customer and start complaining about Chinese phones

Really surprised the Mi-3 got it. I know not all versions of S4, S5 or G3 will get the update to 6.

But when Sony or Samsung delay their release by as much suddenly the world is upside down... talking about double standards.
