Anonymous, 27 Mar 2016Vive is definitely a superior package to Oculus Rift for no... moreTrue, but it's only for PS4 users. So for me it's VR headset + PS4, which probably end up more than Rift or Vive. I don't have to upgrade my PC for it. And on top of that, we still have to wait and see how the customer version of Sony VR will perform with PS4. If you will have to invest in PS4.5 to actually enjoy fully the VR experience, then the price will end up higher. For now? Yeah...price Sony put on their VR headset is a huge selling point, but we will have to wait and see how this will turn up after the release. Hopefully good, it will force Oculus and Valve drop their prices, which is a customer win.

However, it is the Playstation VR which will most probably destroy both Oculus and Vive, simply due to price point and installed base.

AnonD-263286, 25 Mar 2016"Optional" means you pay more for it. I think HTC Vive and ... moreProbably because you haven't seen Vive in action. With Oculus you just sit down. With Vive you actually move in virtual space, and you have 2 cameras, that tracks your movement in the real world. Also controlers are so much more precise on Vive. Everyone trying both headsets say pretty much the same - "Rift shows you the VR, but Vive makes you feel like you're in there." I'm a VR enthusiast, and I want both companies to do well, so the VR experience can develop even further, but it looks like for now, it's more fun with Vive.

They should also provide an optional gaming PC that works prefectly with the Rift. Could also provide optional upgrades for the PC. Most people dont have a desktop PC.
