You are correct, the S5 camera is as good as most standalone cameras and better than many. In fact the S5 was awarded BEST OVERALL CAMERA in 2014 by a reputable reviewing company and it's still better than many standalone cameras and camera phones to date.

LG may be good, but Samsung have been acclaimed for their cameras. They are amongst the best out there, as has been proven many times over. I myself used my Samsung Galaxy S5 to take photos when I was in Toronto in October. I also used my Fujifilm Camera, and the photos from the phone are as good as the Camera.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2016Sad but true, G Flex 2 could be awesome but it overheats. ... moreI have the G900H and it basically doesn't overheat. Rarely does it overheat and if it does it's more warm than hot. It has never been hot like some phones I have heard of where they are so hot to the touch that you have to get them out of your hands and wait for them to cool down. For those with S5 variants that get hot put your phone in power saving mode as that lowers the CPU clock speed...which is the biggest contributer to heat. I hope Marshmallow will cool things down even more.
