Xz8441, 28 Mar 2016Heartbleed says Hi.That doesn't even make sense. Heartbleed was found *because* the software was open-source. It also lead to one of the biggest re-writes of security software in decades (LibreSSL, which will be in iOS and OSX very soon; BoringSSL, which is based on LibreSSL and is already in your web browser).

Had it been closed-source software, 1) Nobody would have a free implementation of SSL today (and really, no device that GSMArena covers would even exist) and 2) The vulnerability would have never been fixed (kind of like all those vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows that remain unpatched after 25 years, whereby a malformed truetype font can lead to privilege escalation).

Tried Transmission a couple of times - didn't like the UI, and the feature set was a bit lacking, at least back then. IMO, Tixati beats pretty much everything else on Windows and Linux; been using it for years, not one major problem or reason to switch.

Why would anyone want this instead of their current torrent client, like the old-ads-less-uTorrent?

I'm using Transmission installed on my router and manage the downloads by phone or sometime by laptop. Well, for less than 10 watts I can download many movies. No bother to install it on PC :D
