Waze will tell you if you're going over the speed limit

29 March, 2016
The latest addition to Waze, the community-based traffic and navigation app, has everything to do with speed limits. Namely, the Google-owned app has added support for notifying you when you're going over the speed limit.

does this work in offline mode? i really wish waze would make an offline mode just for speed traps and overspeeding warnings...

If you need phone app that say that you speeding.... just dont drive.
Go take a cab or bus, and never, ever, again try driving a car if you are so "limited" in terms of physical and mental condition needed do drive a car

Nokia maps, ovi maps, and finally HERE maps has a his feature since 8 years.
When you exceed the speed limit it says "observe your speed"

Here Map got this function years ago.

The speed limit in Waze is a nice addition. It's slightly delayed at onset, so you still have to keep attention on the road signs. Other than that I find the latest iteration to have rather messy maps. It's very hard to see the road trail I'm supposed to follow, making the map less relevant.
