Well Apple was the company that made capacitive touch screens on phones the norm. A simple and usable interface a norm. And a successful third party app store. Any one still want a Blackberry? :)

you can see the fps on youtube by right clicking (when on the youtube site, not embedded)
this very video reports 28 to 30 fps which is good enough
i'm not particularly impressed by the quality, and the night time quality is very bad (see pictures on other websites, extreme grain at night)
a N95 does take better pictures in all conditions (but no HD video of course)
On the other hand i'm impressed at the N8 night shots

I would like to see a shoot out between the samsung wave and iphone4.
I think the wave will have better pictures and video but the apple obviously will have more apps.

Have you noticed that you need to be connected to wi-fi to be able to use videocalling? iphone sucks big time!!! u get videocalling in phones worth less than 150 euros, and you don't need wi-fi!!!

Apple followers (and I know a lot of them) are usually people with a certain amount of frustrations: they always feel misunderstood, underrated, rejected and lonely. Their lack of self-confidence results in a strong need for compensation which Apple exploits by telling them they are different, smart, successful, creative etc, giving them the feeling that they are something special and belong to something special... So they feel cosy and comfortable with Apple and will believe and buy everything the guru says, acting exactly like in a sect.
Just be happy you don't share their struggle for acceptance.

I think that people who speaks about Samsung phones never had one. I have An. IPhone 3GS now, while my old i8910 (Samsung Omnia HD) is turned off, laying deep in my closet.
The i8910 has amoled, 8 megapixel camera, HD video recording, front camera and flash. Why dont I use it anymore? Because Symbian is OLD and Samsung support is TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!!!!

I had a phone dating back 3 years ago (p900), which allowed me to make "video-calling" without the need of “wifi”. It was one of the main reasons the 3G network came about. To call it "face-time" is insulting to anyone with half a brain; it's like rebranding the orange (fruit) to amber and then claims it’s something new.
"Look, the new fruit 'amber', I never tried it. Let’s get some! I hope we don't forget to pick up some oranges as well."
Are people that stupid to buy into this sh*t??! Please tell me NO!

I dont know I think the Samsung Wave has a better camera module.
better pictures and video, not to mention the super amoled screen.
but pretty impressive for a apple. and who would think this is possible, designed by us backward americans.

Yet we still switched to the iphone because we see qualities in it that we find more important. And that is proven by how well the iphone was received by the public. And it is still doing very well even on its 4th generation.
Wall Street Journal also released their review of the iphone 4, and they share pretty mich the same impression as Engadget, and hails the iphone, the best in its class. Both reviews bluntly pointed out the iphone's mishaps no matter how impressive this new may be. But both reviews gave the iphone the highest regard overall.
Those are already two reputable sources, giving consistent positive reviews on the iphone validating what was said on Apple's keynote. So I guess we can say in confidence that the iphone4 is indeed the best in its class among other phones that are now available to consumers.

What's really nice though, is that it switches apps so smoothly. It's quite a fluid interface despite all these additional features that could compromise performance on some other devices. I seldom multitask though. My most common multitasking activity would be playing music while web browsing or composing sms, but then the iphone was already doing that even before ios4. I was and am never big on multitasking.
