Did you not know that Apps have to be updated to handle multitasking before it works correctly? At launch, only the iphones built in features can handle it. Now, the app developers are updating to accomodate this.
I was just playing Bejewelled, and changed to Facebook. When I went back, the game was still playing as I left it.
Christ, people are so quick and so dumb to criticise the iphone, they don't even know the FACTS.

we got IOS4 running on A 3GS and guess what multitasking isnt as swift as the nokia and the androids phone you cannot listen to spotify while you have another app open and then you have logon every tine you switch in between apps and secong thing when you are using multitasking we notice that safari does upload while is on the back it just sit there until you open it again
so multitasking i dont think so and @£499 for the chepeast option after 4 genartions of phone , you know what judge by youselves is it woth it ah by the way i have 3GS, just in case someone thinks that i dont like Apple

ay man i certainly didnt get an iphone bcos of its wallpaper capabilitites never had tht thought BUT i expect to find it as a new feature in the update. and i certainly expected an ans on how to set it(lock screen and home wallpaper) not other wise.

wallpaper capabilties isnt my key feature for buying an iphone BUT is my expectation when updating to ios4.0 as a promised feature. now al you had to say was respond on whether i can get it and how. not other wise

It can decipher which apps need to run in the background and which ones can be suspended in the background. That's an efficient and effective way of multitasking. It saves battery life and does not compromise performance. Meaning, the iphone willmunlikely freeze or crash like the others do when they start opening too many apps simultaneously.

If wallpaper capabilities are your primary needs on a phone, you should've bought something else.

Updated en worked fine, only the wallpaper option and multitasking is not working on my iPod Touch :(. Better for Apple to arrange that to, else it has no use for me at all

just jailbreak iphone 3g wid os4 n u will get multi tasking + camera zoom e.t.c including seperate wallpapers from home screen n lock screen

i have instaled osė, but cant update already 3 hours my 3G is doing back up, is it normal, it was written it could take up to 1 h, but its 3 already

its good but multitasking or home screen wallpaper should be available on 2nd generation ipod and iphone 3g

spent 4 hours just to find out that my ipod touch 2nd generation does not have a home screen wallpaper included in the OS 4. ipod touch and iphone os is really far behind the nokias and androids. just a simple wallpaper they cant even include it. hayayayyyyyyy . Apple might be cool of its looks but always remember guys, not all that glitters is gold.

I own iphone 3GS 32gb,but im not so blind as most iphone users.multitasking sucks,because its not real multitasking.they need learn from N900 nokia,what is multitasking.separate programs and always run them like new start programs is not multitasking ;)
