There is not a single scrap of evidence this is fake.
Yes, It is a desire image there, however, I work in a similar corporation of a similar size. At what we call "Steering committees", we are handed similar pieces of paper, and they often contain images that are inaccurate.
And to the user/s claiming that it is fake on the fact that WP7 is not exclusive, and will run on other phones: "Yes, you are correct in principal, WP7 will operate other phones. However, I believe that this document is related to the exclusivity of the Mozart to Telstra, a similar set up with the Desire. This does not relate to the phone running WP7.

Slightly disapointed in GSM Arena here, Blatant fake image, HTC Desire that someone has chopped a WinMo screenshot into and then put in onto a Telstra catalog. You can see the dodgy photoshop work very clearly

Sorry I don't mean to be so blunt and don't take this the wrong way ... Windows Phone is available to more than just one handset, so they won't be copying Apple there..
Windows Phone approach is really good - they are setting higher hardware requirements, so Windows Phone 7 devices will be commoditized ... Setting the hardware benchmark to a new level for handset manufacturers as they will have to compete with each other. Hopefully Windows Phone can start the trend to help put a fine line between a normal phone and a smartphone.

It could be a real in the future (Maybe Australian operator announced this as incoming phone), but this is definitely not a WP7 device.

Let's hope will be a high end solution. That means besides the minimum specs set by Microsoft additionally an internal memory of 16G or more (like N8), camera of 8mp or more and Xenon flash!!!

Take a closer look of the device and you'll see it's HTC desire.
1st of all, MS stated WP7 phones can have only 3 buttons. back, search and start. This is clearly Android device !!

this image would be a mock up, its an internal telco document, the people at Telstra at this stage wouldnt not have been given an image of the phone, just a name, probably specs (HTC monderin?) and a date. Telstra have a signed agreement with HTC for a pick of the litter in phones and exclusive rights, they have the exclusive rights to the HTC desire for another 4 months and have just finished their exclusive rights to the HD2, Telstra's customer is one who expectes quality phones on a quality network, hence why they go for exlusivity on high end handsets when they can.

Plus this Bad photoshop job was confirmed fake Days ago..
Tha image was stolen from xda-developers! tha fool who made this couldnt even makes his own fake image...lol

Whether Windows Phone 7 will fail or win depends on 2 things.
1) If they are copying Iphone, whether they do it well. 2) If they're not copying Iphone, whether they have a viable product proposition. Think Android. It doesn't try to copy Iphone. Instead it says "I'm different from Iphone" and they succeded in doing so. So far Windows Phone 7 seems to be in the 1) category. Trying to copy Iphone. Think closed eco-system, no third party skinning, not so clear multi-tasking system, Zune integration, controlled app installation, etc. Since we've not actually seen any 100% (or even 50%) ready for market device, we can only speculate whether it can bear Iphone.

So yeah, all the efficiency of Apple OS update model while still allowing for variety of phones in specs/price points.

Also seeing them taking too long to get Hero up and running with 2.1, I doubt that even half of this year's models will get 2.2 before they become outdated.
