One can sell one million units of goods in a week, if not days, but if each unit is selling at a lost, then it wouldn't make any sense.

Same goes the other way around, if an item has huge profit margin but it doesn't sell, it wouldn't make much sense either.

Guess that's why the 88xx series is pretty much dead recently.

I think this phone is cool and all but my phone to get is the N8, though I believe this phone will sell really well with it's low price, screen and keyboard.

        Nice features with nice price. Didn't know it was S40 phone. Personally I don't like these type of qwerty-phones. I use to like Nokia 6820 verymuch though...

        OT: Why everycomment section has to have at somepoint "this phone vs. iPhone" debate???

          Tomi Ahonen is a very reputable consultant in telecommunication industry. Look at the number of symbian smartphone (40%+ market), and the percentage of E series and N series out of that 40%+ market. Look at his number breakdown.

              In indonesia,nokia's competitor is not iphone,but blackberry and chinese phone. C3 hit the right price point where it competes with chinese phone. C3 also cheaper than blackberry gemini and still have comparable spec. Nokia messaging in indonesia is $5/month and have comparable feature with $5/month blackberry service (only messanger with mail/facebook client)

                Aaahhh this place is amazing.

                But what Annoymous stated is True.

                Mr Jobs you should check out this forums and you check out how Nokia wins compared to IPhones sales.

                Nokia is a clear winner always.

                Iphone fanboys are so jealous of Nokia, that they like commenting that Nokia has age old symbian. So what, atleast it works well. There are more satisfied Nokia users that IPhone users. So many of Apple apps do not even work the way it is suppose to work.

                Nokia Rocks..

                  The price of this phone is so damn cheap.

                  Nearly 10 times cheaper than IPhone.

                  So what if it does not have video calling and touch screen, who needs that anyways.

                  Atleast it has a very decent QWERTY keyboard, which is damn comfortable.

                  People you also consider the cost.

                  Hey by the way, wifi is even thrown in.

                  Nokia: that is the way.

                  Keep up the good work.

                  Dont worry about IPhone, they are just copycats. Few years down the line they would throw in a QWERTY keyboard in maybe their IPhone 7 or IPhone 8, Lol..


                  Nokia now we are just looking forward towards the N8, please release that awesome phone soon.

                          In 2008 & 2009 Nokia sold more E series than N series.
                          The E series is totaled around at 45 million something in 2009
                          iPhone only sold around 24 million unit in 2009
                          more than half E series in 2009 is E72.

                          And in 2008
                          iphone sold around 11 million something
                          where nokia sold around 38 million E series, in which more than half is E71.

                                  This phone has WI-FI. Just check Nokia Product page. Vodafone spec sheet is incorrect.

What you FAIL to realise is apple doesn't have mid-range and low end devices.
