The two cameras will not have equal focal lengths. The P9 not being out yet, we don't know the chosen lengths, but we can look at the LG G5 as an example. The LG G5 has a 75 degree field of view sensor and a 135 degree field of view sensor. So, only 30% of the surface area of the wide angle lens collects light from the same subjects as the narrow angle lens. And 130% of the light from a f/2.2 lens is f/1.92. Nice, but less than the LG and Samsung flagships.
And even this calculation assumes that both P9 lenses will be f/2.2.
The added value of the second sensor isn't more light. The added value is the ability to take wide angle photos without compromising normal/telephoto capabilities.

AnonD-166478, 03 Apr 2016My mate 8 wasnt cheap at all, but i have no regrets huawei Mate 8 is a wonderful device ... huawei devices are a bit cheaper with an excellent build quality compared to other pricey flagships which lags & stutter am talking about samsung devices :) ... nowadays Mate 8 cost in our local market about 559 USD it's price didn't drop that much while Samsung S7 Edge cost about 733 USD that's a high price for a lagy smartphone ... what i meant by cheaper is the price of huawei devices are not too high compared to others & i hope they stay this way.

Lenovo is an excellent company with excellent laptops. Xiaomi as well, growing rapidly. Oppo makes quality products and have superb blu-ray players. Huawei has a worldwide presence and is also really good!

I really hope its available to buy on April 6th as well, or at least a couple days after they announce it, it took to long for the LG G5 to be ready for to buy. I am possibly gonna get the Gold and Black color one or if they have it in all black then that's the one I'm getting.
