iPhone 4 arrives 2 days early for some, 512MB RAM confirmed

23 June, 2010
The iPhone 4 actually arrived two days early for some people - and it's already been unboxed on video, activated, used and torn down. There are new camera samples too, in more realistic conditions than the...

Why is everyone arguing about facetime and scratch resistance/proof screen when the article is about the ram in the Iphone. Honestly what is wrong with you people. If you're interested in buying the Iphone 4 then go ahead and buy it and if you're not then don't.

Deep space bar, 24 Jun 2010Did nokia announce and boast that's screen was scratch proo... moreFirst of all, scratchproof and scratch resistant are two different things. Apple never claimed that the iphone's casing is scratchproof but rather more scratch resistant than before. No matter how strong and scratch resistant the iphone's glass casing is, it is still glass, and it would still break if you abuse it. The retina display is no marketing hype. If you bothered to read the several professional reviews for the iphone4, they all attested it to be the best display in the market, beating samsung's super amoled displays.

[deleted post]It is true that iphone4 is bringing video calling to the world with facetime. So what is wrong in saying that? They didn't say that Apple is introducing video calling for the first time. Apple is only speaking for themselves, referring to the iphone4 being the first iphone to be distributed around the world with video calling capabilities. Facetime is a totally new video calling platform. It does not need skype or other video calling provider. No setting up required. It's good to go out of the box. All you need is wifi and you're on. There is nothing insulting with that.

So by the time preorders are delivered, expect hundreds of such cases

[deleted post]Unfortunately - yes. They order it without seeing it in real life, without holding it in their hand first, without knowing if it works, or how it works, without even reading a GSMArena review. I wouldn't buy something THAT expensive on blind faith only. They already know it's the best phone in the world, yet none of them has it yet. Sad.

[deleted post]You said "with many" iphone4 deliveries with yellow spots? Let's do the math here for a second. There are over 600,000 preordered iphone4's. There were I think 27 reported cases of iphone4 with yellow tint spots. That is less than 0.00005% of 600,000. Yet you make it seem like all iphone4's have that problem. So let's just disregard the other 99.9999% of iphones with perfect working screen and call it a failure. Nice one there buddy.

iPhone Owner, 23 Jun 2010Whether the iPhone is the best phone in the market is reall... moreIn case you missed this post. Couldn't have said better myself IPhone Owner

"Whether the iPhone is the best phone in the market is really just an opinion of the consumer. The phone is great for a multimedia user but for someone who just uses a phone to make a call then the iPhone isn't an option especially for it's price. And sales don't make it the best phone on the market. Like I said it's about preference otherwise Avatar is the best movie ever made. If say the HTC Evo were to sell more than the iPhone I'm sure everyone, especially Iphone users, would not concede that the Evo would be the best phone in the market.

What's really annoying to me is that fact that people trash other phones they have never used. I strongly believe that a lot of iPhone buyers have no idea about all the other competitive phones that are out in market. The operating system is smooth but too simple for my taste. The novelty has worn off and if it wasn't for jailbreaking I would have switched phones a long time ago. People who complain about other operating systems being too complicated to me are just lazy. The iPhone OS is probably one of the easiest to get used to but I'm sure in a day or two every other OS becomes easy to use.

And truth be told, the iPhones sell as much as they do because it's made by Apple. I really believe that if some other manufacturer came out with the iPhone they wouldnt be as successful especially with the little changes they make to the upgraded models. The Iphone 4 should have been released last year.

In my opinion it is a great phone but it's definetly not the best phone in the market. And that's just my opinion. Use what phone you think is best for you and don't go bashing other phones that are best for other users. In the end these are just phones that really should only matter for their most important purpose, to make phone calls."
