And i don't think this will get in the way of projectors either. Which sorta aim to tackle a similar issue. And in the next couple years should also be on the rise

Not even my suit or the pants, the phone did fit easily and comfortably. Hard to imagine how those 4- or even 5-inchers could create these issues.

In your small hands/pockets maybe that is the case. I don't see much issue carrying a 5.7" note 3.
I'd prefer a 5-incher to unfold into 7, rather than a 4-incher to unfold into 5.5

Will each foldable device be strong enough to handle falls ?????

Please Samsung also make a foldable phone that folds down to a 4inch screen size which is easy to carry in the pocket but obviously it then opens up to like at least a 5.2" screen size or so. The big standard 5" phones are just too inconvenient to carry in a pocket.

that would definitely be cool. i probably won't be buying it though. i don't really see the need for a foldable phone at the moment. much like how i don't see the need for a modular phone. but definitely a step towards the future.

I believe this will be a massive market by 2019-20. The key would be to flip the primary front screen and use as 50% of the enlarged screen and blend seamlessly with the other 50% internal screen. This will result in reduced thickness of device and control price of product. Exciting stuff !!

MCW, 03 Apr 2016How can it be 5" Folded and 7" unfolded? Wouldn't it be do... moredouble in terms of surface area, which is the screen diagonal to the power of 2. 7x7 (49) is almost as much as 5x5 (25), so the screen diagonal of a double 5" screen is slightly over 7".

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016Has Apple claimed copyright infringement on this yet? :)Non-yet. But hmm. be watchful! coz when this phone comes out?, undoubtedly, Apple will hastily rush into the US courts to bombard Samsung with cases, HERE and THERE! You know what? instead of getting themselves busy hiring great innovators and engineers to possibly make the next future big-thing, the iPhone 8 or so?, what Apple did, and is currently doing, is engaging themselves a lot in hiring great lawyers, seeking journalists to give there phone product a good and compelling reviews no-matter-what, greatly hoping to make the tech world like buffoons, and possibly; even finding juries that can be bought just to overturn sales, at-least in the US.

Typing on a 5" screen was a nightmare even with a big keyboard, 6" made that much easier in my case.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2016Why not? Sounds really good to me.I prefer not to have a "fridge size" smartphone.
5,5" is already huge enough, 6" max.
At least if you are not a asian, they like bigger phones because "bigger is better" they think...
