iPad Pro 9.7" teardown shows tightly packed components, low repairability

04 April, 2016
The iPad Pro 9.7" is hard to open and requires a lot of patience and heating, but once open you can see just how cramped the inside is.

ray, 04 Apr 2016just take it to apple. they fixed my iPhone 6s display for ... moreIn South Africa Samsung will repair the screen of any S Range of phone since the S4 and Note range of phones since the Note 3 as long as its not older that a year. Apple on the other hand you will usually pay 40% of the phones value if you want the screen Repaired.

In our opinion when we purchase something expensive with our very hard earned money, we spend wisely to buy something having long lifespan. If we were rich guys, we would also call them "disposable". After all these are expensive devices.

2/10 unbelievable, is this the lowest?

mir, 04 Apr 2016These are meant to be disposable devices. So once they brea... moreThey're not supposed to be "disposable" devices. There's a distinct difference between a temporary disposable camera from Walgreens and a $400 camera from Sony. And $400 isn't even asking for a lot for a good DSLR.
No, these are not disposable devices. You're paying for a device that should last you indefinitely if you take good care of it. Yes, they do have life spans, but so does a car if you're not taking care of it, and cars are not disposable. Perhaps that comparison is a bit disconnected, but I believe it gets my point across. You don't pay this much money for something that is "disposable." You pay this much money for a device that you know will last as long as you need it to. As much as I dislike Apple, I do have to give them credit for building solid, high quality devices.

Compare that ipad price with an xiaomi tablet(it is very good for the price) for example or with another one on the market.
Ok after you saw the specs, what do you get in those extra money you pay for an ipad? Three people saying: "nice ipad",or a couple of people thinking "this guy has money" ?
Apple makes you pay a lot of money for a basic products...
I'm not an apple hater but people often judge android after using an 600$ iphone. Try buying a 300$+ android and you will see what is worth buying.
              Anyway it's your choice.

However, [AS FOR ME] compared to the iphones, the ipads are pretty good.

P.S.: This rant is not against Apple, Android or any other manufacturer per se. This rant is aimed directly at you because you are the problem.

These are meant to be disposable devices. So once they break, you have to get a new one. I don't mind buying apple devices again and again though. Because they're the best.
