Apple is using a bonding agent called Organofunctional Silane Z-6011 to bond the layers of glass. Apparently, Apple (or more likely Foxconn) is shipping these products so quickly that the evaporation process is not complete. However, after one or two days of use, especially with the screen on, will complete the evaporation process and the yellow "blotches" will disappear.

Where's Bricked and the Anonymous guys from locations FJT6 and 4TMj now? And all the other Apple fanboys?

Before these videos, they were telling that we were jealous of their uber-device, that we were making statements without even having touched one (I don't need to touch a pile of crap to know that it stinks) or that we can't afford one (yawn and sigh)...

Now that there's proof on video, all of the sudden it's all so quiet, shhh :-)

i am not any brand's loyal customer, i look at my pocket and time and decide what to buy. today i went to work in wimbledon. what i saw was really sad, the amount of people waiting outside apple store for a mobile phone is just pathethic. the type of people waiting represented apple iphone 4 did not seem any professional or middle class people. they were looking rough, dirty, unshaved, and stupi**d. what is the whole of point of geting something the first day it launches. i have ordered mine, i will get it soon, i am not too keen about it reading its reviews now. i might stick with my 3gs or change to something else.

naw, 24 Jun 2010i think can't.. because the problem here, is about the hard... moreSure they can fix it with a firmware. They'll boost the signal so high it will fry your brains and then throttle it back to normal.

You won't notice the difference since you'll be talking to yourself anyway.

You must be joking, are u? How can u fix a hardware fault by firmware, lol. Yeah rite! Probably fix the antenna issue but I doubt it, as apple's one and only Mr Mojo Jobs claimed that it was groundbreaking engineering in designing the antenna the way it is.

Btw i have an iPhone too. ahem!

I love how people criticizing the new iphone, when they don't even own one. It's hilarious. I do have one and have no screen issues and no signal issues.

I guess that when you hold the iphone like the guy does, his hand (probably sweaty ... imagine, holding an iphone before anyone else) just establish an unwanted connection between the 2 antennas, just over that thin black part that separates the gsm antenna from the bluetooth one ... hence short circuit.

I'm not a fan of apple phones at all but most of you people are making android users sound like idiots!

I use a Desire and Love it can tell you 100 reasons why i have picked it over an iphone and i still believe all of them.

BUT the reasons above are not that bad. Graunteed the antenna is a school boy error and this could cause a mass recall if it is a big a issue as people are making it out to be. However all the other issues people are reporting and few and far between. Gizmodo have what 50 reported cases of yellow screens... out of what a million... tbh thats not bad at all.

Lets compare that to how many c905's speaker went? how many nok n97 lock key broke? how many x10's screens stopped responding. There are phones that have a LOT more problems :P

"And finally, the guys from iFixYouri decided to drop it" They actually dropped it for the second time. First time was weeks back before the actual launch when they stored for spareparts and they tested out and report it very briefly in their blogs. iZombies by that time went against them and called them haters while they forgot the main point, they are in business with everything "i" why would they hate it?

Anyway, the report is back. And yes Apple will happily replace your broken iPhones because they took more than twice price for them afterall. Looks like it is time to payback.

It seems that there is no Applefanboy trying to comment and defend the Iphone4 here 'cause they tried to defend and praise something that was not released and they judged only on what Steve jobs told them.i myself don't think that Apple let this problem ruin the start of their beloved phone specially according to the fanboys which i'm really sure are waiting for steve to say something like "this matters are only part of the magical user experience that we provide our costumers with 'cause there is no another phone in the world that you pay a hefty price for and can come up with such problems and it's a gift to you all,so praise your Iphone and enjoy it you Apple worshipers......." and then they start to pay Apple again to solve the problem!
ofcourse the above Steve's comment was fictionate and i really don't want to offend anyones personality but i thought it might be good joke
