Anonymous, 07 Apr 2016next time, buy a nexus.. 1. Google does not offer the Nexus on all markets.
2. In those markets where you can get a Nexus, other than the US, it is priced hundreds dollars more than US price.
3. The proponents of Android always say that the best thing about Android is the variety of devices. Telling people to just get the Nexus contradicts that claim.

OEMs that are sort-of compliant will show what level of security update your device has on the settings. Latest is March 2016 with April 2016 being released for the Nexus phone.

It is a reality, this doubling. Cause is putting on sale of MATE 8 from Huawei. After month May, it's Marshmallow market share will increase to 15%, thanks to new and emerging phones sold in January, February first, and then those updates.

Still waiting for the update to come through from EE for the S6 Edge, and when you ask them they cant give you a date. might get it by the time for my upgrade next year

Unlike ios it isn't the OS version that indicated whether or not you have the latest security update, but play services version.

Android OEMs should be sued for negligence, allowing their customers to buy and use devices known with security flaws, yet refusing to support them despite Google making the patch available.

I am using Lumia 532 and really enjoy windows 10 on it, but leak of apps is pushing me to android phone specially there is no good replacement for HERE transit apart from Moovit.

I'ts great that Marshmallow is so popular but I'm still waiting it for my Sony z2, phone itself is above avarage but the lack of customer support and ontime updates does not convince me to buy Sony device ever again. I't seems that when you need a device which gets latest updates ontime you have only two options: nexus or iphone.
