Because you have to look at the 64gb version, there are much better choices out there. If it were $400 for 64gb I would say it's worth it. This way... not so much.

Irrespective of spec sheet , iPhone SE has performed great against top end androids like galaxy s7. Why people are crying for specs if it can perform way better with lower one.
People are just jealous as they couldn't buy one. Even 5S works great with latest 9.3.1 OS version and yes better than many higher price androids.
iPhones have software upgrade cycle of at least 2-3 years or even more because it can perform well and on the other hand if u buy an android device then you may/may not get even the next version of android , forget about 2 years upgrade support.

And why compare the SE to the other phones with the bigger screens? The video/gaming performance is going to be better on a smaller screen. You do know that, right?
You also know the Apple 6 and 6+ got trounced in the multi-core test here on gsmarena tests. The only tests the Apple flagships consistently do well on are the on-screen and the single core tests and we haven't touched on the features lacking in all iphones and their camera performance.
If you want a small phone, do a lot of gaming and don't multi-task then the SE is a fine phone. If you want a full featured phone none of the Apple products would be on my list.
iPhones lack features I demand, have quality issues and overall their flagships are poor value for my money.

Its like buying powerful torch for your job at 1000 lumens and putting it in 3 lumen mode and claiming superb battery life but useless for your job.
Overall all phones are superb at battery efficiency it is silly batterys these companies install year after year causing problems.

I have to say android fans(apple haters) have the lead. I currently use note 3 n9005. In recent years I used note 2, htc one, htc xl, sg2, iphone 4 etc...why so much hate about what other people use...I don't care what other people use or like...I use what I like...I don't care how many phones samsung, apple or any other OEM sells.
Now I'll try to answer why so many hate apple, and I do understand that there are so many apple fans who hate android, but this time few things about apple haters :)
It's an interesting pandemic that I imagine is fed by various factors. Instead of listing them all, I'll mention the one I personally feel is prevalent.
The favorite child
Samsung has come out with numerous flagships boasting high level specs, 'innovative' features, etc. Google has lent its prowess to the Nexus series. HTC, LG, and Motorola have their pieces of the pie. They run an open source operating system that claims to be more advanced, offer more features, customization, etc. On paper, Android and its phones should reign supreme.
But many bloggers talk about iPhones, tech sites talk about iPhones. iPhones break sales records. iPhones sell 4 million stinkin units in less than 24 hours. Apple and the iPhone is the favorite child despite lesser 'specs', the 'walled garden', the 'high cost', the 'phone with features that were on android in 2012'.
And it drives android fanboys crazy!! They hate it. They hate Apple for it. And they call you a sheep. Even though you could Just as easily go out and buy an android phone instead. They hate that you choose the iPhone over their phone. It's THEIR phone that's supposed to reign supreme! How dare you!
I surmise that if fanboys of either platform would worry a little less about what others are using and spend more time enjoying what they chose to buy, we could all get along that much better and enjoy each other that much more.
