Huawei P9 benchmarked, Kirin 955 put to the test

07 April, 2016
Not a full 10 more than the Kirin 950 inside the Mate 8, the designation leads you to believe than not much is changed, and that's indeed the case.

Also given the price point of the P9 our here in Dubai, it has to be one of the best phone to go for. The 32gb 3gb ram cost around AED 1699 (USD 460/-)Vs Samsung s7 & HTC 10 which is around AED 2399 (USD 655/-).

I just wish the P9 supported rapid or quick charging :(

It is likely that this P9 will score highly too.. They have the highest processing power with adequate graphics.. Look at LG G5 miserable battery life with SD820.. If you want to play serious games get a console/pc.. Phones should last more than 2 days

the software isn't finalized yet besides speed snap isn't that important & can be affected by many things one of them is the software, on the other hand endurance is important what good a device for when it scores high for less than 30 minutes test then lag the rest of the day IMO.

From these tests, it is clear, P9 not cope to LG and Samsung, Why not use Snapdragon 820 processor, the folks at Huawei, remains a mystery.

I'm good with that. It'll be more than enough to satisfy my needs. Now waiting for those reviews to roll out.

Novage , 07 Apr 2016In game this is the same. Forget these shitty benchmark But benchmarks helps to get an idea of what to expect from a certain device. The problem is that people set too much store for benchmarks, which are only theoretical measurements of a device's performance.

You can have good gaming experience in a 1080p screen with it. I think this is Goldilocks thing: not so much, not so little... everything just right (as far as GPU is concerned).

The fact that it doesn' match the Mali-T880MP12 or Adreno 530 is another thing entirely.

Still its better the Galaxy S6.5, can't wait to get the Plus.

Check anandtech. The P9 uses LPDDR3 RAM, whereas the Mate 8 uses LPDDR4 RAM. I think this is where the speed difference comes from.
