Let's just face the fact that if the S7 were to be equipped by a lower-res display, the results would be the same. The laggy TouchWiz would've been no help, too.

That A9 chip is really impressive and the GPU aswell, BUT the S7 edge is pushing 268% more pixels and that counts.

How it possible?It has many reasons.
1. The screen resolution is 4x bigger in the Samsung.
2. The iOS is optimized especially for the iPhones hardware. It is much more optimized than Android, which can run in nearly any phone (it even has an x86 version). This is the main reason. But all in all i think android is much better, iOS has many limitation and if apple make a setting unavailable, then you will never change it easily. Eg. please setup a ringtone from your music list ;) of course you can't do that on an iPhone :D
3. What is true for the OS is also true for the applications. They has to run on all phone, therefore the optimization is much harder. But I think this 10 second extra is quite a good result :)

iOS doesn't have anything compare to TouchWiz, TouchWiz have split screen, smart stay, smart gesture, and double press the home button to launch the camera. It's has been prove SAMSUNG IS THE BEST! IPhone don't have anything which is BORING!!!!

I find speed tests a bit stupid when it comes to apps. There are so many different Android devices out their that developers need to produce for whereas iOS devices there are only ever a handful which makes optimizing much easier.
In the end, with the top spec devices, it all depends on what you want your handset for. If you want a closed system that just works and don't mind being locked in to stuff then sure you'd go with the iPhone. On the other hand if you like a little more freedom to play and experiment then an Android phone would be best. Personally I would go with the S7 because of the flexibility and expandable memory as I use it for everything.

Apple A9 and the NVMe storage of the iPhone 6s is a killer combination to deliver superb performance. The S7's TouchWiz is also to be blamed here.

QHD vs HD. Exynos couldn't be better. Maybe if they release beast like **compact variant with cool HD screen, they will do miracle.

Proves that no matter how powerful the hardware used, unless the software is optimized to use it to it's maximum capabilities it's nothing short of useless. Which in this case comes down to Samsung TouchWiz. No doubt S7 Edge is one of the best phones ever in production but it's software sucks as compared to iOS.

Well if an XP performs faster and quicker than a Windows 10 on a hardware of same architecture then i wont be shocked to know that because thats how it is, XP uses lesser RAM than 10. Same goes for iOS, it uses lesser RAM than Android and is much snappier and responsive than Android though both perform same operations. Its just that Android is a powerhouse while iOS just gets the job done for most of the people.

Iphone = 600hp Ferrari
Samsung = 600hp Mustang.
Doesnt matter how much you tune a mustang, it will never be as fast or refined as a Ferrari.
