Chen needs to be fired. He took away one of Blackberry's best features, Blackberry OS.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2016It is android not their os So u are saying it is cosly because of android ?
Dude there are better devices in the market in half the price and all of them are android..

Blackberry could make really great, Quality devices.

but they should've aimed for midRange segment 1st, get to know the android market before going deep into highEnd masses. That was what Priv was at sd808, 3gb ram & 5.4 screen.

At that price, they were always DOA. Ive owned 5 Blackberry since 8520, & still using my Q10 as 2nd phone. Blackberry pricing unfortunately has keeping me away from upgrading.

They've all come out overpriced and then have to be discounted aggressively to get rid of inventory.

AnonD-383472, 11 Apr 2016I think Chen has done the best he can with damaged goods. H... moreI disagree. Chen has taken a mess and made it worse.

First going away from touchscreen to overpriced qwerty format phones (there isn't enough of a market remaining as most everyone has moved on to touchscreen only) and now an overpriced Android offering.

He's done very little to re-engage what was a fiercely loyal and energized development community.

He's done nothing in the area of marketing.

Now he's going to focus on the midrange market? Does this mean in his mind the specs on the Priv made it a premium device and justified the price? If so, then the specs on their next phone will be an overpriced for the midrange market and sales will slip even more.

He was brought onboard and being paid millions to turn the company around and continue to make mistake after mistake. After 2 1/2 years he has very little to show.

It's a great device, but the price is too high.
Once the price drops a bit, it's a great deal for a top end device with top end specs.

It's already outdated and with the same specs you can get a device that is less than 300$

Look at the g4 or even xiaomi they have one with such specs that is not more than 200$
