Anonymous, 11 Apr 2016Android games are built with the lowest common denominator ... moreand what phone is that and what screen resolution does it have, plus that is adreno, whats the case for mali and power vr, and what about footage recording above FHD gpus needs to get better to open the gates for better graphical tasks, phone screen resolutions are gettting higher, look at where cpus are now interms they have basically stagnated effort put into cpu have little returns, there are so many limitations with cpu heating problems is one of them

with phones being so smal and not having fans, are you still in favour of giving cpu the priority when gpu can be improved with lesss resources and issues

Mark _S, 11 Apr 2016Welcome to Chinese manufacturers. Mediatek by default unles... moreIt's actually faster in multicore than any SoC out there ... learn to think next time. Antutu mostly measures gpu these days, if you get a good score in Antutu means you care for gpu way too much therefore your cpu (actual performance) probably sucks.

Getting huge Antutu scores while getting low geekbench score also means the cpu sucks. High antutu score often is a demerit. X25 dunks every other cpu out there...

AnonD-472910, 11 Apr 2016almost all smartphones play games, playing games is normal ... moreAndroid games are built with the lowest common denominator in mind. Very few android games (if any) care about the latest and greatest gpu. I can play every game in my Adreno 330 gpu... Monster gpus only take the place of cpus, and less cpu power = less performance.

P20 is using 16nm, which is much better.

OEM don't have any sense because they are copying every single thing Samsung and apple do like the front of the phone i swear when i saw the picture i thought it was an s7
                          come on OEM be creative

Pro tip: put the Mate 8 into performance mode, actual AnTuTu scores then are ~95000.

If the X25 has better battery life than the SD820, combined with 1080p, it will be 100% win.

Antutu is completely meaningless, GPU matters way too much to Antutu's score while in fact it matters nil in every day performance. It pushes companies to out big gpus therefore making the SoCs worse (better to have a big cpu than a big gpu).

Why people can not use common sense that this phone is actually successor to mx5 instead of pro 5. Pro 5 is barely year old while mx5 already reach a year. Maybe they can change mx series naming to pro series but this absolutely not going to be the pro 5 successor.
