The good thing though is that Symbian is a light OS, so it should perform well. In the video the switching from portrait to landscape seemed pretty good. I would have loved to see him try to click a link on that webpage, though.

Looks interesting. Good form factor, but Symbian ^3 Will hold it back, just like the N8. The OS is improved, but it's hard for people to get excited when it looks almost exactly the same as the poorly touch optimized s60 5th ed.
Also, Nokia takes waaaaaaay to long to drop these devices after they're leaked or officially announced. When will this come out, 2012?

Long live american capitalism even if its as rotten a apple. dont pay double amount on iphones and please dont get fooled by At&T.

Symbian is not an UI, its an OS. Symbian is one of the pioneers in mobile phone OS developers. It's never a "light year" behind. They benchmarked the development of mobile OS. Nokia can still kick-@$$, and they know what they are doing. Thumbsup to Nokia.

Iphone will never sell much in countries like india . Its just that simple because no one will buy a phone which cant send files via bluetooth when a 2000rs below priced phone can do . Iphone costs more than 35k . So its too much pricy . N8 costs less than 25k as per news ........ So anyone having a brain of grain size will buy phone that can do tasks better way . and you need to sync it with itunes . That sucks really ...... A phone priced below 20k rs can do the job better than iphone 4 ........ multitasking ........ Thats really funny nokia had that function many years before .......

iphone is for only touch screen users(althouh its a useless device as i have desire)and by what i have seen is nokia users are much more in their style...some say n8 and some will say n8 with qwerty

is very clearly seen in the images that says C0-00, then put it to class N when the "C" is easily ... was equal to the N8 before announcing it. N0-00 was

I don't understand Nokia anymore! They seem to do too many things at the same time, Symbian3, Symbian4, Maemo, Meego....By having 2 platforms at once, which is Symbian and Meego, will only create competition within itself. In that way, either of this 2 platforms, may not get a bigger market share because Meego or Symbian will be competing against other platforms and themselves. Developers, will not be interested a a platform that is not used by a larger base, or a platform that can't take a larger market share because of competition...Why Nokia is doing that to itself, developping one platform and then developping another that will compete to it's own....Matket share is important, because it will attract developpers! If you do something do it nice, don't try to do a thousand thing at once. UI is important, symbian3 looks old, not much of an improvement from serie 60v5 and it took you 2 years to do some minors improvement, google did the same scale of improvement for android in a span of 6 months.

I really like the design it seems sleek and stable and if it's packed with n8's hardware this device surely is a good deal.
But I hope nokia packs a fast cpu and a lot of ram in it.
The only thing is I would like this with android :D Because there are more developers creating apps and the android store is cheaper...
I hope nokia also releases a nice device like this with meego because meego surely is more interesting

Do you all notice that most symbian hands on video didn't show us their home menu or any other application? My guess is they know it is horrible and outdated but since they can't do anything about it they just avoid showing it to their potential customer.
I bought a new phone recently after trying both Nokia X6 and SE X10 mini, the feeling of using it is totally different with the X10 mini feel far nicer and smoother compare to X6, and the design is much better too in my own opinion. I guess the main thing is SE is using Android while Nokia is using Symbian. BTW i'm using an E75 before this...
