The... moreThis is a conscious decision by BlackBerry, they focus on security first and foremost, hence they wait with implementing OS updates - but send out monthly security updates. Since they were always open about it, I see no reason to criticize them for it.

Were I a security freak, I'd be fine with that. Since I'm an update freak instead, I own a Nexus.

IOS doesn't give anything new in their updates that android hasn't had for years. And android devices get half of their updates through the play store whereas for iOS it only comes through os updates.

And for security android has seperate security updates too. Even my s5 that is over 2 years old has the April 2016 security update.

If you want to compare Apple's iPhone, compare it to Google's Nexus phone.

              Zakakhan43:
Despite I'm staying away from Android, I think BB is actually doing a great job, taking into account they actually patch-up and straighten out Android to be pretty secure, as opposed to other vendors, who seem to have 1 developer at the job of just adapting the OS and sticking up bloat-ware on top of it.

                See?
This is one of the reasons why people like apple. They get updates the moment apple launches it. And here we are using Lollipop, waiting for Marshmallow when google is working on Android N.
