Huawei P9 Max may have been spotted in a benchmark rocking a 6.9-inch screen

14 April, 2016
The huge phablet is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC, not the newer 955 seen in the P9.

Are these specs true?
I read on many other sites that the P9 Max screen size had been reduced to a very disappointing 6.2 inches so I scratched it off my wish list. I already own a P8 Max which i'm very happy with and I was looking forward to buying the P9 Max when it comes out but if it does release with a 6.2 inch screen I don't think i'll bother with it.
I was hoping for the P9 Max to retain the screen size of 6.8 inches with an improved screen resolution, a fingerprint sensor, faster processor, 4Gb RAM and they would have a killer phablet on their hands. Till then, i'm still in love with my P8 Max.

Man i'm using C5 Ultra .... 6.0" too :) but still I can keep the Lenovo Phab Plus in my hand for a long time without any problem but I can't do the same with (Huawei MediaPad X1)

      Lenovo Phab Plus 96.6x7.6mm

When I replace my Nexus 6 I will be looking for a 7" screen, a Huawei P9 Max will be close enough.

Its a weak upgrade to the P8 which I love. Without the P9 Flagship feature (the camera) , why not call it the P8 2?

AnonD-527087, 16 Apr 2016Wow. I didn't know that windows phone fanboys existed. ... moreNot a fanboy of any platform. I have used all major (mobile) operating systems out there for at least 1 year each, and found Windows to offer exactly what I needed:
            - high performance on any specs
            - stability (I don't want to restart my phone once a week or do a reset every 6-12 months)
            - security
            - 100% reliable email, calendar and MS Office experience
            - most advanced UI
            - best personal assistant
            - best camera software (i.e. manual controls)
            - no bloatware

I was really excited about Android. Until I got to use it.
Apps crashing, phone needing restarts every now and then, email sync problems, missing some of the most basic functions in contacts/messaging/calendar/email/calculator/etc. apps. All in all, Android is ok and it's usable - but it's not great and it's far from the best.

Oh, and iOS is just too limiting for me. I'm a heavy phone user and I can't have that.

Wandows phone is absolutely horrific. If IE8 was turned into a phone OS, it would be better than windows phone.

AnonD-442022, 16 Apr 2016Well I just gave away my 640XL , worst piece of crap I have... moreI'm using a Lumia 925 with Win 10 developer preview and it's running smooth. No restarts needed, no lag, etc.
The only thing that's bugged is the browser.

And for work-related stuff there's no better OS than Windows. (BBOS was good, but now it's a relic)

Also, universal apps are top tier quality and these are the future. Android definitely can't compare to that; only iOS apps come close to the quality of universal apps.

I pity people that spent money on more expensive models. For work ? well good luck if its not restarting all the time , you are looking at the rotating cirlcle waiting for something to happen.

AnonD-442022, 15 Apr 2016Thanks for making me laugh , really needed that :) my frien... moreStill, real life tests and comaparisons show that Windows is superior to Android. Only iOS is on par with Windows at the moment. You cannot bring any argument to prove otherwise, as that would mean you are lying.

                    P.S.
Customizability is not an advantage when the OS, at its base, is a big pile of mess.

Sorry, but as much as I hate to say it (I actually wanted Android to be a good OS), Android is a big mess.

This looks like a great option for people who want a small tablet than can make phone calls. It wouldn't be bad for me, I hardly ever call people. I mostly use the internet and watch videos etc so a big screen makes sense.

Yes, work in progress, but still more advanced UI, more solid features, more stable, infinitely more secure and definitely faster and smoother than any Android contender out there.
