Now I get it noticed that the G5 looks like Ray.

Technically, it must be using a live wallpaper container internally and the gyro to control the movements of a spherical wallpaper shot with a compatible camera. That way the wallpapers shot with, for example, Nexus camera should be equally compatible too.
Just my thoughts on the innards!
