      Huge mistake by Leica.

The Chinese love to "leak" engineering and manufacturing secrets.

Every empire has fallen, the west is falling, Chinese and some others east to the western nations are rising in capabilities. The last havens of the west, especially USA, is their tight hold on research and development. That's also eroding with nations like china focusing on their universities to initiate and lead top class research & development.

But sadly, that was not the case and the dual camera set up are only ever working together in improving the dynamic range. Not really innovative if you look at how little it actually does. And not everyone is into black and white photography.

It really saddens me... The western tech world is turning from production to marketing and banking. We do not produce anything, we just chafe in the warmth of long-gone greatness of some monickers while the Chinese produce everything. Our Leicas, our iPhones, our Sennheisers.

I still don't get it. Two cameras, one of which is never used (monochrome camera in today's market? Seriously?). Why not combine data from both cameras in real time to increase detail, reduce noise? It won't affect color noise, sure, but it can help sharpen the image without providing extra sharpening artifacts.

But the real question is: can the software handle such complex algorithm? Or is Huawei all hard no soft?

I wish it goes long being a little skeptical after seeing the response on Panasonic Lumix CM1
