Two Sony camera sensor factories in Japan halt operations due to earthquake

18 April, 2016
If the plants don't resume operations, it could be problematic for Sony's partners who count on it for CMOS sensors.

r, 19 Apr 2016I don't give sh*t about sony. I hope people in Japan are OKThe news actually shows that Sony cares about its workers enough to shut down production in order to protect their lives... unlike other companies that instead of improving worker conditions decide to erect anti suicide nets around it's plants.

Sad to see these earthquakes over and over again in Japan. Let's hope and pray that the people bounce back again just as they always have.

I think what we should hope for is the people there to be alright. It's quite twisted to think that the first thing to hope for is production to resume so people can buy their precious phone.

Sad. They could test image stabilization on mass scale...
One big test could save some money...

The hate is real in here. Sony, world class leaders in the sensor department, and some of you aren't showing your condolences to what happened?

I hope Sony recovers well from this. Damn. Get well soon.
