I think I like DJPB1984's suggestion to try a custom rom, cause I'm still comfortably using stock rooted KK 4.4.2 on my G900M, never cared for LP, was never impressed with it and I can't seem to get Xposed working (on other devices with LP.) I've gotten along all this time with out the updates, I'm sure I can go longer.

ill break my samsung galaxy s5 coz samsung now forget about galaxy s5 my device is G900F and still i dint get any update ! im live in kuwait... ill buy may be sony or any lenovo brand !

My advice of wanting to update to Marshmallow is to use a custom rom. I am using CM 13 rom with no issues and very nice battery life as well as internal storage has more space as all the extras Samsung loaded are not there anymore. Fingerprint reader works with latest update just not heart rate monitor, but don't really care for that anymore at this stage being the phone is 2 years old. I am using model SM-G900W8 Canadian Model running SM-G900F CM 13 rom.

believe ipad 3 32 galaxy s5 user
ipad is lagging heavy lately and sgs5 battery drain was 2x on android 5 and had to manual rollback software to KitKat

Samsung mobiles are worst of the worst manufacturer interms of S/W upadtes.
Thts why i moved on to xperia Z3 from SGN 3.
My sibling have SGS5 and in last 1.5 yrs it only moved on from 4.4.2 to 5.0
I contacted SAMSUNG INDIA regarding this, they told me they are working on same and insure me 'they have committed to give their best service to their consumers'
I told them even USD120 LENOVO 7000 gets v6.0 and we users of SGS5 worths USD 500 still using v5.0 and i am still waitingfor their answer on same.

Is this to cripple this aging flagship? I only ask as when rooted this is a really good device, battery life is superb, waterproof etc. Really well made too (plastic i know but it's tough)
At stock this could be the update that cripples it.
