Just one question... Why??
I mean, they compared it with the s7 which has less then half the brightness and still does a great job, then what's the need of 1300 nits?
And don't throw that crap of on-screen flash in my face, the iPhone has that and it doesn't need 1300 nits.
I think Sony needs to rethink it's entire strategy for phones, rather than such flashy and frankly useless features, consumers would rather appreciate a good phone with good specs at a reasonable price, like what oneplus does... How hard can it be Sony?

I like they release something new so soon, just there is no such difference as with samsung/lg... and I also hoped that they wont go the G5 way of using smaller battery just because S820 is better than S810, while looking at S7's. Battery density is supposed to go 8% up every year, so much nits on display are meaningless if it follow X/Xperformance way.

And yes LG Optimus black's screen had 750 nits of brightness

Here, 1050, had this phone. Too bad they did not put the display on a flagship...at that time it was better than on any other phone.

Well, well, it doesn't matter anything as all of you will be still buying iphones and samsungs due to their new "Features" such as super processors or lower price in the case of Samsung. The same was with Nokia who tended to make innovations. Where are they now, ha?

i have the z5 and i currently love this phone i know there are pronlems with the snapdragon 810 and its heating problems and if this x performance can better the z5 in the heating problem and any other aspects then its going to be a phone that will kill samsung and lg
