High-end devices use more RAM than midrangers, and a user which do a lot of multitasking will need more RAM. So, "usable" is a very relative concept and should not be applicable in general.

2 gb j7(2016) ...not 3 gb ...samsung is taking about $300 dollars and not launching 3gb version.....not expected from samsung ...shamesung
