Waterproof....well Apple are fairly slow when it comes to competition! Yes I love Apple products however, IF this so called iPhone 7 is going to look like previous models then I would say that I'd go else where and part my money for something different! I'm on an iPhone 6...yes not the latest but it appears to me that Apple aren't bothered in giving their fans a boost so why should I bother parting with my hard earn cash! Oh no...I'm neither a Samsung fan so will try harder to look elsewhere i.e. Sony! 6, 6s and now 7 all look same! Zzzzzzz.....C'mon Apple!

Once Android matured and the hardware performance was acceptable, the freedom of not being locked out of the filesystem, customization of the interface, fonts and not being locked into itunes provided me with an ecosystem and experience which is much better than what is available with an iphone.

Windows has graced the smartphone world for over a decade, and it's also radically changed the most - from porting the Windows desktop experience onto a 240 x 320px screen on Windows CE / Pocket PC, to the overly simplistic Windows 8-10 versions we are being served these days.
I guess throughout all these years, Microsoft based its developments more around assumptions and following trends rather than testing consumer behaviour. Quite sad really, since to this day it still hasn't got the experience right. I wanted to throw my dad's 920 against a wall, that's how much it frustrated me.

The only things i was able to do in that phone without any issues is call, sms, social stuff like fb and whatsapp etc, camera(great camera!).... everything else was a hassle if not little troublesome (especially maps, which got worse after few months for some reason). All these could also have been just for me, i cant be certain...
.
But the point is, its a damn good OS for a newbie, but needs to evolve alot more nad sure it will....

"quality of apps" is mentioned, but "feature set" isn't. Its common sense that a feature rich OS will be more instable, will drain battery faster, performance will be hit unless the specs are high enough, security will be harder to setup and so on.... But still, android is the most used mobile OS as of now, just like how windows is on the desktop platform bcoz its worth it for those you use it just like iOS is worth it for its users.... AGAIN, it comes down to personal preference...
I mean is it fair to compare a car with a 2litre engine and another with a 5litre engine? One will be fuel efficient while the other will be powerful, can you say which is the best objectively? (not saying, android is this and iOS is that, but just that there are different and built with different scope in mind).

The thing is, apple has a closed ecosystem, which for certain people is exactly what they prefer. But there are those who prefer an ecosystem that is compatible to others....essentially it comes down to personal preference...

The finger-activated multi-functional home button fingerprint sensor had not existed like this on any device before. Fingerprint sensors were usually a separate, swipe-operated feature, but now Apple combined the home button and sensor in one, to integrate seamlessly into the existing customer experience.
That's the difference to the other players. The customer experience.
