Opera Mini 5.1 out now, recommended for all S40 devices

Opera mini 5 is not ment to be for blackberry devices as far as i can tell. I have a Blackberry 9700. And previos Opera 5.0 release was awful, it would freeze all the time on the pages and for some reason it would make the mouse jump around the screen like crazy making it almost impossible to click on the links. Now i tried this new release 5.1 and it is even more laughable how they made it. It doesnt open half of the pages now and there still a problem with the mouse. So what did they improve with the new release? Nothing! they made it even worse. Screw Opera. I am using Bolt - the best browser available for blackberry so far.

Too bad opera mini doesn't support my w830i. Still love old 4.2 version.

i used nokia 3110 classic i purches it frm 1 year ago. it can not hv inbuilt opera mini browser, but whn i download opera mini(any version 3,4.2,etc) it can not work. i use airtel connection. it will always shows erroe msg like "failed 2 connect 2 internet". i use internet from home. what should i do. plz give suggestion.

Martin, you obviously has non touch device. Opera 4 is a nightmare on touch devices, while Opera 5, just like Opera Mobile 10 have most friendly UI among all mobile browsers.

Opera Mini 4.2 is much more user friendly than any other version. Version 5 could still be improved.

i had opera 4.2 on my e51, and it was far better than this one, but i had to upgrade because in last 30 days i couldn't load normally pages with java script/ flash, and it was very weird. Now everything looks normal, but i have to get used on this interface.

It's the worst operamini version i have ever used on my samsung C5212. unless i just have a useless phone.

Opera mini rocks guys .... it works like a super computer in my Nokia 3500 phone .... good thing is that we can open tabs and browse different sits at the same time .... thank u opera ...

it is way slower than the previous version.now i can load facebook in 8 seconds which used to be 3 seconds

I tested opera mini 5.1 for 1hr. But i still loved opera mini 4.2 which came as a built in browser of my Nokia 2700 classic. 2inch display is not so suitable for enjoying multi tab feature. Moreover i found that in s40 series om 4.2 runs swifter than om 5.1. But in my friend's E63, the result is opposite. It seems like that Windows7 is better than Windows XP, but you can feel that only when you use a quad core pc with 4gb ram. But if you are using a nettop powered by a weak Atom processor+2gb ram than XP will be always a better choice over Win7.
