Instagram rolls out black and white UI to some users

Instagram seems to be testing a completely revamped UI for its app. A few users have tweeted about their app turning completely grayscale, save for the images, of course.

I'm on iOS 9.3.1, using iPhone 5S, latest Instagram update, and I can (unfortunately) confirm that my version is still blue.

        That's gotta hurt for (S.)AMOLED users...

        They should make a few more themes that users would be freely able to choose from.
        -Original
        -White
        -Dark/Black (True black and dark option)

        Guess it'd save battery, and people would be able to use the app for longer? :D
        Hope they're testing something like this, or even better, day/night mode?

          My eyes hurt so much with the total whiteness. Instagram trying to blind us away.

              I have this UI on my Samsung note 5 after the last update.
