New Nexus 6P version gets benchmarked with Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM

28 April, 2016
For now it's unclear which exact company is making this upcoming Nexus 6P iteration.

It's not a rumor. Google announced late last year that HTC would be making the Nexus devices.

Also, Huawei doesn't use the Snapdragon SOC.

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2016Should I wait for this one or go for Nexus 6P (2015)?Depends on your budget, but if I were you, I'd wait. Although N6P is a good device with a great camera, it has some issues such as S810 and build quality, HTC Nexus 6P will probably "fix" these issues.

I was totally not expecting this "(not the 810 like the 2015 model)" in a new Nexus 6P

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2016Should I wait for this one or go for Nexus 6P (2015)?Depends on how badly you need a phone. The Nexus 6P is an epic device, and we already know it's good. The HTC 10 is awesome too (better than the Nexus 6P, arguably) but HTC hasn't had the best track record lately so if they are making two Nexus devices for Google who knows how good they'll be. Or when they'll be available for purchase.
I personally would wait to see but I don't need a new phone.

Weren't we supposed to see S and M Nexuses this year. And I hope they don't forget to make a tablet. Also it would be nice if they could launch it in a different time of the year. It gets specs of the year it was released in and a few months later Samsung, LG, HTC release their flagships for the next one.

New phones shouldn't have the same name as older ones. Its confusing.

Google should release a nexus with 5 inch 1080p display, having similar spec as this new upgraded Nexus 6p.

I kind of agree with the very last part of this article. All I see is a refresh just for Google IO.
Remember we were all hoping the 6P will come with SD820 when I was released last year but Qualcomm wasn't ready for it to go prime time. Also it makes sense for it to come with 4GB of RAM.
I still believe Marlin n Sailfish are still in the oven for a 4th quarter outing.
