Danny, 30 Apr 2016Hi, does anyone know if the resolution of the Samsung gear ... moreHave you tried the Kodak SP360 or SP360 4k? the software is truly terrible! the samsung gear doesn't have (technically) 4k resolution, it falls just shy of 4k, however the software is far better, and the product support too. I got the kodaks last week and my samsung gear arrived yesterday, its a far far better setup, and more user friendly, plus you can actually create a storyboard with the gear, the kodak software doesn't allow for merging of clips, or editing. All in all its a better deal, and a better product.

just hope sammy is not gonna ignore South Africa like they did with the first gen gear VR for the note 4. coz if they do then it will be a blow to thier credibility thats if the gear 360 is a proper product coz down here we are no lab rats and dont realy appreciate poor quality and underdeveloped prototypes hance they dont bring some of the junky handsets they ship in droves to the rest of the world to our country. wish them luck and its great to see them take charge in pioneering this VR tech and integrating it to thier galaxy flagships.

Hi, does anyone know if the resolution of the Samsung gear 360 is better than having the dual kit of the Kodak Pixpro 4k?

      Thanks for your help

Chet, 30 Apr 2016Stupid move not releasing in US first Samsung. Very disappo... moreGo cry to your mama! Boohoo. US is not the whole world. Not even worth it. Asia is way bigger of a market compare to US. Stop your whining! Geez! Be grateful we share some of our tech to your people.

AnonD-507785, 29 Apr 2016Based on initial hands-ons, looks like they will be similar... moreLG's only does 2K. I am saying only because for 360 videos sometimes even 4K doesn't look so sharp. 2K is simply bad for 360 videos.
            Samsung's does 3840 x 1920, which is little less than 4K (3840 x 2160) is much better than LG's 2560 x 1280.

Umbilical Noose, 29 Apr 2016Sadly, as always, it won't be €300 in Europe. Here companie... moreYeah, well...sometimes they drop maybe 50 euros, but in most cases it's like you've said. I'm just curious about that. Let's say comparing UK to US, minimum salary in UK puts you around 900-1000 pounds. If it's the same thing in US, but in dollars, then I would be okay accepting those ridiculous differences in currency. Anybody from US, who could illuminate the situation?

Anonymous, 29 Apr 2016Is it LG's as good as this one??Based on initial hands-ons, looks like they will be similar in terms of what both cams offer. But I would wait with the final statement, utill both of them will be reviewed thoroughly.

AnonD-507785, 29 Apr 2016I wonder...if they keep the prices as we see them right now... moreSadly, as always, it won't be €300 in Europe. Here companies, most of the times, don't convert the rates, they just dollar sign to euro. It will most likely be €350 :(

I wonder...if they keep the prices as we see them right now US-EU, so $350 would probably translate to €300 in Europe, which is roughly €100 more than LGs 360 cam. So if that's gonna be the case, then selling those may be a bit hard (especially when you can use - let's say - LGs cam with Samsung phone).

Just too expensive for a "low res" first generation accessory.
