The latest three Samsung Galaxy S7 ads are a joy to watch

Gone is the tacky way that Samsung did its advertising, generally by mocking its competitors.

Apple took the feature, shine it up real nice, and shove it straight up smartphone's candy ass, and took the smartphone world by fire every time. Each and every time, you know what???? Samsung followed suit. Tell me a feature samsung released that apple followed immediately?

of course you don't know what status quo is if you don't even know what innovation is

Actually they are working together in a way. They supply materials and hardwares to each other. Iphone alone have multiple hardware used from Samsung, LG, Sony & Toshiba. Of course that 'One' absolute phone that will rule them all will never exist.

              - Windows phone's advanced user interface, enhanced by >>see next point>>
              - Apple's attention to details and overly-designed everything
              - paired with iPhone's app switching speed (currently fastest phone on the market - as tests proved)
              - and Android's store. Nothing else but the store. Either this or Apple's store.

Oh, and the option to use custom launchers for those who don't like the standard experience.

How great the world would've been if Apple, Sammy, LG, Sony came together to build The One Phone to Rule Them All. If they offered different screen sizes with a lot of customizing options while keeping the price in check, then that'd be great. I wish I were more influential to make that happen. Obama? Are you there?

It's also true that because of this determining which is 'better' is subjective.
Lets see how the sales figurus fair up for each of these OEMs for their respective latest devices. Maybe this will give an indication of which company has got the most successful / popular ensemble of device 'features', as western (mostly US) customer loyalty to Apple is beginning to wain.
                  We shall see.

The accuracy and validity of his points is shown by his comments about the curved screen being pretty much a downside and useless. Again - completely incorrect and probably the result of someone who has never actually experience them.

And the rest of what you said are clearly niches that most people don't care about. Especially when stuff like the modular part ruins the integrity of the device and creates a gap on the back of the phone that seems to widen with usage. The s7 ticks all the important boxes, like camera, design, display, Samsung Pay, ip68 (as opposed to the g5 with so many gaps for dust and dirt to settle in), battery life, the list goes on.

Have you even seen the modules? They're all useless.

Besides, its actually that Apple just gets a head start on some stuff. That's it. In reality there is a clear road map frnthe market as a whole for what smartphones should be able to do. Fingerprint sensors were just natural progression, same as using your phone as a wallet, or whatever. The same way that back in the day mobile phones started to have cameras, and started to have bigger screens.

And I have no idea what you're trying to say with your first sentence.

No. The S7 Edge ticks the main boxes for being a 'good smartphone' better for the small list I mentioned in my previous comment. The inessential niche box ticks are for guys like you in smaller numbers who want those things (notice I said want, not need). If we're truly talking what is objectively 'better' LG hasn't brought better results to the table in those important main features.

But it is true, if you require the features LG brings that Samsung doesn't, you should obviously choose the one with options that fit you. It still doesn't objectively make that phone better.
