http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/04/19/htc-10-review-a-very-good-phone-but-one-that-costs-too-much-money/
Sequential read: 435MB/s (S7), 251MB/s (10), 459MB/s (G5)
Sequential write: 150MB/s (S7), 74MB/s (10), 134MB/s (G5)
Random read: 121MB/s (S7), 32MB/s (10), 88MB/s (G5)
Random write: 17MB/s (S7), 14MB/s (10), 16MB/s (G5)
One thing's clear though: EMMC5 is definitely slower than UFS2

The HTC 10 actually performed better than the S7 on the write benchmarks. And putting a title like that on the article. They should at least put a graph on what the average performance of all the 2016 flagships really are. Instead they just compared the HTC 10 with only 2 2016 flagships which obviously use a faster memory chip.

write speeds is faster than S7, and GSMarena said below average.

Xz8441, 05 May 2016faster? If you didnt understand that video you linked, HTC ... moreYeah, and for such a price it commands, I was expecting its flash memory to be up to grade (2016 flagship grade) because this could be HTC's flagship for the whole of 2016 until whenever it plans to release a successor which is also until major chipset makers officially readies their next batch of next gen SoCs for mass production

The fact that there is a better memory why use an old one, and charge us premium price for it.

Anonymous, 05 May 2016Much faster indeed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8O66SPjbDdwfaster? If you didnt understand that video you linked, HTC 10 actually performed the worst of them all, even losing to Sony Xperia Z5.
This article totally explained why... because HTC 10 uses a slower storage component unfortunately.

It seems like the powers that be are trying to drag the HTC 10 through the mud. It's seems this phone does alot of things really good. The scrutiny for this phone is outrageous.

WRITE SPEED is what matters.. And HTC beats S7 EDGE easily in write speeds..240 MB read speed is more than enough...

How can it feel slower transferring pictures from the phone to the computer? I doubt any of these phones can transfer pictures at over 100MB/sec, which is the speed of the HTC device in your tests.
A more likely explanation(s) for the particular phenomenon you describe (slow transfer from phone to PC) could be:
1. The photos are larger on the HTC phone
2. The HTC phone uses USB 2.0 while the other devices use a faster USB mode (I know nothing about the connection)
3. It wasn't actually slower because they weren't directly compared; maybe you were more impatient/hungry that day, or didn't time the transfer

Yet in normal use, excluding file management, the HTC 10 performs faster than those two.

What your tests did was showed that LG got better storage performance than Samsung. It's better to have higher write speed, especially in random rather than writes. Even on random read speeds, LG still perform better. So guess what, Samsung actually perform worse than HTC.
