You do realise that even in it's current state TV he car has numerous mechanical and electronic systems that can go wrong, don't you? And of this happens the fact that you are behind the steering wheel won't help. And still you drive your car. Self driving cars will belong to car sharing services so they can arrange the litigation part among themselves.

i like the idea but it seems more futuristic than modern but a car is a car , instead of complaining about the glitches that havent been reported by the actual makers themselve you either buy it or you dont, if you like the modern cars stick to them because in the end half or maybe all of you will want on when it gets released
    :) :) :):)

Sam.gh, 13 May 2016The idea seems futuristic and boring and in my opinion also... moreIf I were you I would avoid crossings with traffic lights. After all it's a machine switching them so it is prone to glitches, hackers, terrorists, etc. Who knows when it will give green light to everybody and cause huge crashes.

So, if the car is driven by a computer and this is an ad for a driver job, you have to be a computer to apply?

The idea seems futuristic and boring and in my opinion also potentially risky.futuristic because some day it's going to happen for everyone to have a automated car.boring because as some folks said energy consumption is an engeneering factor so i think automated cars are going to get smaller, less comfy, less roomy and cars are going to be less powerfull so no fun in sitting and driving in those cars.risky because in my idea fully automation brings up the risk of glitches, hackers and terrorists,malfuncions,.... because there is no man made devices or systems which someone can claim is perfect.
i myself prefer to trust old school man driven cars with safety assistanse systems

And when you're done working, it could drive you home. And then drive someone else, and so on. Much less time will be spent standing in the garage waiting for you. Its not going to be "your" car any more. Think of it as a taxi subscription service.

This can be achieved by automating the vehicle traffic. Human driving is wasting a lot of energy i.e. more dirty coal energy in the case of US.

Wow, I thought that there are more millennials reading GSMArena. Looking at the previous comments it seems readers are older. I'm quite older myself but I work in a smart cities department and sometimes help my colleagues working on autonomous vehicles. I can't wait for the self driving cars to take over. I have 26 years experience driving and I've never been responsible for an accident but imagine being able to read GSMArena while commuting to work and write comments like this as well. Cool. Why waste one hour crawling after other cars in the jams. What's the fun about it? Come to 21st century, guys.

I believe, the self driving cars could be good for clear summer days. In winter the driving could be treacherous as there are chances for the snow, slush and dirt that could stick to its 360 camera making the drive difficult. Most of all, this will stop the revenues for the insurance companies and the government which they are making. There are some great inventors who developed the automotive technology to run the car on water and other alternate fuels. But to dream of such a technology to go production in a large scale is very less. At this time, Clean energy should be our prime concern.
