The Sony X Performance is not even widely available yet. The Mi 5 and Mi Max are China only for now as far as I know.
Personally, I am partial to Xiaomi. Why? All these Android phones are roughly similar in terms of support, which is poor. So why bother paying $$$ for Samsung and the likes. Might as well pay cheap Xiaomi. Furthermore, Xiaomi devices tend to have good custom ROM support. Samsung devices have the annoying KNOX, making it hard for custom ROM.
So, cheap, more likely to get custom ROM support, I vote for Xiaomi. Yes, they bend in half literally, but at least I'm not paying $$$ (HTC and Nexus also bend, Sony put plastic lens on expensive Z5).

'and more' / a shitty quality build with a gap, small weird bumps on the back and the finish being brutally uneven at the end (chin side). the instant i got the thing, i was like: nope... take it back. not gonna pay 500 quid for bad quality check.

2.FHD means better performance and battery life . QHD is useless...
3.To me Waterproofing is one of the best features and it's not gimmick in any way.
4. I can give you a link for camera comparison so judge for yourself .
5.New Qnovo tech gives the battery min800 recharge cycles while other phones have 400 also this is partly answer on number 8 in this list for you.
6.Not better than HTC 10 when it comes to loudness but audio on Xperia is definitely the best,besides good sound there are other reasons to have front facing stereo speakers .
7.It's not subjective Sony won many awards for design and Sony comes without design flaws of S7 and HTC 10 .
8.Design ,Investing in Qnovo tech ,new Camera Features.
9.There is a lot gimmicks in all of those phones besides Xperia...but list would be to long actually...
10.if you don't think so then give an argument why do you think differently.

LG G5 is the best.. if it wasnt ugly!
sams7 is the best.. if it wasnt boring already ... like have seen it since the beginning of creation!
on aggregate HTC10 gets my vote .. short of many tops in class, but overall the highest CGPA
Sony XP is a fail to catch up in timeline, specs & design
As for China brands... well ... they are China brands

Dual front-facing stereo speakers which Samsung could only dream of. It only has 1080p display and since it is paired with the SnapDragon 820, that would make a perfect combination. The camera isn't the final yet so we have to wait before judging. Battery has Qnovo Tech so it will be better than Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Design is actually portable. It's simple, without any gimmicks like Edge screen. 5 inch seemed to be ergonomic as well. It is water resistant which others are just trying to copy. What else do you see from the X Performance that makes you think it can't compete here?
