Why Sony X Performance... The Galaxy Note5 should be there instead

Voted for Sony simply because they traditionally have the best support of the choices given. Motorola and of course Nexus are better, but they were not included. All the current (and even 2015) flagship phones have good enough hardware to last at least until 2019, but not all will receive support until then.

But as I said, its still a smartphone costing hundreds, so you would probably be careful around it regardless.

Its good that the htc10 isn't bulky for no reason though. Personally I'd rather have a sturdy phone than a waterproof phone, but because its more bulky its 50/50 for me.

HTC at least gives you several months (one full year, some times) to enjoy your phone and making you feel for a long time you do have the latest and best product of a brand.

Can't think on Samsung owners strategy to avoid feeling sad each time they invest hundreds of dollars on a phone and in just a few months, the enhanced version of their just-purchased device is launched, leaving aside their recent acquisition.

Although in this respect, Sony is doing a similar job than Samsung, as within the last year, several, several Xperias have been launched, flooding the market and also GMSArena pages that show Sony phones.

Anonymous, 15 May 2016I would go for X performance hands down. Sorry, I don't sup... moreBut what if the screen breaks spontneaously like the Z series??
            (:sobs)
the amoled atleast function after the screen cracks

i think the question should be..if you had to buy a phone with no monetary limits what will you buy?? right now?? s7/s7 edge...mainly because its available....hmm may be the poll should have come out after all flagships are available in market??
in favour of s7 family, waterproofing without losing sd slot is a plus point, and i believe it should be like the battery or ram in all cellphones, present without it being advertised like a selling point ..now before everyone starts shouting about waterproofing not being the quality of a flagship..i'm saying it should be..we won't be dunking the phone in water all the time, its just reassurance from the company that in the event that it went into water or someone spilled water/wine on it at a dinner table, you won't freak out. its a good thing because nowadays we rely on our phones for a lot of things...the most important of these is CONTACTS..yes, the most basic of them, we used to have phone books, large holders for business cards, yellow pages, etc..now when we want a number from a friend, we recieve a whatsapp vcard.
we usually don't have hard copies of these and google's method of keeping their contacts is questionable at best(i've lost hunreds of numbers after my z1 failed and google had conveniently saved only half of my contacts)
next thing is onscreen time: if you check the battery consumption graph, the screen/android os use up a lot of battery, this is nore in lcd screens because they need to light up the whole screen even if the colour shown is black -.- getting a sweetspot like 1080p for 5in and 1440p for higher is a good option as our eyes don't really see any higher dpi anyways(my zenfone 2 with 5.5in is just 1080p, its not stellar but good for what i paid)
options lke tap to wake, always on screen are good, though not completely necessary, invest on a good watch, any watch, why not?? can't you guys read a clock??[that being said, nokia had this SLEEPING SCREEN(google it, and enjoy) long time back]
the average user uses a phone for calling, music, youtube, and some games..now a lot of people use youtube to listen to music, so an efficient screen is more important, a lot of gaming going on is not serious hd gaming, rather casual games(cough..angry birds..cough)
And browsing..now thats a battery hog like on other..people can even do shopping on phones with all these apps that have come out, with their app only offers...so this has become more important..
now having an edge screen is cool and it adds a bling nature to show off and all, but why not make it accessible to 3rd party apps(not icons..mind you), same goes for their always on screen.
good sound is a must, that doesn't mean there should be a war for it, few people who buy these are audiophiles, and mostly the headphone out should have a good quality as audiophiles will tend to buy 3rd party cans for their phones. speakers should be LOUD, stereo sound phones??sub woofers?? why??
system ui: now i have used an n8, z1 and a zenfone 2, now the n8 had around a half gb of ram, the z1 and zenfone 2 had 2 gig..and guess what, n8 and z1 were excellent snappers when it came to photos, one because it had a good ram management, whereas the other had a dedicated processor for photos(fiind out which one had which). n8 could compete with its contemporary s2, which had 1 gb of ram, because of a better tailored app system(somewhat like apple is doing)my zenfone never got more than 500mb of free ram..
and on the topic of cameras, there is a limit to what they can do, smartphone cameras can now compete with point and shoot cameras, theres no need to go further, except maybe in the low light areas, like when you're partying in a club, you can't rely on a bulky dslr to take good photos, the idea is to create acceptable photos. and on that note since they're trying anyways, why dont these companies(lg) make a "module" for theit "modular" phone for optical zoom..not like the one sony made with its own sensor costing half a kidney(sorry medical reference) but something like those 10$ 3rd party mods for apple
now fitness trackers...pulse oxymeter and pulse tracker, why do you need these?? i'm a doc and the pulse oxymeter may come in handy but its about 5times as slow as a regular handheld monitor you can get for 15-20 bucks online, and it gives realtime monitoring; so its practicality in its most practical view point is obsolete. true when we pay for a flagship we tend to expect all kinds of bling, i would too, but recently i saw intel wanting to remove 3.5mm jac from phones..i say get rid of oxymeter instead..
i'm not trying to side with any company but they need to prioritize what they want to do, and they should probably get the phones into market asap..like me living in India, will definitely go for a s7 edge, not just because its good, but because the contemporaries have not yeat reached the market(also because the stupid zenfone is showing ghost touches that apparently more than half of the zenfone community is suffering from with obstinate silence or"go to your nearest service centre slogan")
now gsma will you be paying me for this "article" i wrote??

Compare the drop in the GPU benchmark. Lg g5 drops below the s7 by the second round.

I'm not sure what CPU benchmarks you've been looking at so I'm gonna have to ask you to provide proof. The antutu only favours the snapdragon very marginally because of the GPU. But as I have proven, the GPU throttles. If you look at the CPU score of antutu then the exynos is better, just like most benchmarks.

Regardless, in real life usage, you won't notice much difference in performance. Speed tests have shown exynos to be superior however. Apart from that, all you have is better battery life from exynos.

So why'd you prefer snapdragon again? It looks pretty clear that you just don't like exynos. Your opinion doesn't even seem to be based on anything.

all are good enough, because all are flagships.and voting show that galaxy s7 family and htc are better(in my opinion this to brands are the best in android, totally).
the differences between s7/edge and htc10 are many advantage of s7 and many for htc10. s7 has better screen and upper IP certificated. in other hand htc has better sound and ui and metal body. both have the best camera(g5 is good too).....

It looks distinctively different to the s7, its bulky. But some people like that. It looks sturdy and the metal finish makes it look premium in its own way. Have you seen the red version of it?

I still prefer the s7 design, especially since its thinner. I mean, just because the HTC 10 looks sturdy it still has a glass screen (obviously) so you'd still need to handle it with care, regardless of how tough it looks. But I can see why people would prefer it.

Other than that I think it has too many shortcomings to the s7. If it at least had better battery life it would've been a fair competition. Blame the SD820 for that I guess.

All the system benchmarks and CPU benchmarks favour the exynos version, which is supported by those speed tests. Regardless of how little you value them, they show that in real life usage, supported by CPU benchmarks, the exynos does better.

The exynos also has much better battery efficiency.

The shortcoming is the GPU. But the only reason the SD GPU performs well is because it is power hungry, and thus it throttles a lot quicker.

1)the design is outta this world..makes the HTC look boring, and the HTC has a very awesome design.
