AnonD-538142, 17 May 2016Reseller's margin bigger than xiaomi themselvesYou 1000% right.

It's so sad, they (Xiaomi, etc) can make good product with competitive price, but they have difficulty selling globally. Finally end up with uncontrollable high price.
Why don't make this phone international unlocked edition ( LTE band compatible with countries outside China) and sell through authorized seller with good reputation (Amazon, Newegg etc).

Good attempt to divert the in-capabilities to fulfill the demand of Mi5. Xiaomi is employing the cheap tactics to starve people and then fulfill the demand, even they know the demand beforehand.

Overprice on Gearbeast. Waiting for official lunch in Jakarta, though I won't buy this one; the Note seems better.

The tittle of this piece is purely ad-focused.
Stating that the phone is up for pre-order in International markets is inducing viewers to believe that Xiaomi itself is accepting orders from International customers, which is false.
As a matter of fact, following the line of thought used on this piece's tittle, Xiaomi Mi Max was already available for pre-order by international customers, even before its unveil by Xiaomi itself.
I disabled the ad blocking software on your website, as I want to help keeping this website alive and keep the quality content in it always high, and even higher. This is not it!

I don't think it is true that Mi Max is ready for international pre-order. At least, it is NOT from the official Mi website. Of course, you could always order/get the Chinese version and ship it anywhere in the world. but, the Chinese version is different from the international one.

The price is just not real....

AnonD-491921, 16 May 2016Wow why xiaomi? why do you have to sell this phone this exp... morethey are not selling it, others do.
Xiaomi for a legal problems (patent fees) will never come to USA and Europe directly.
so, that opens a space for resselers, and they do have to earn something, plus to pay shiping, and a importing tax (for you).
most comon tax in EU is from 20-25%, so 300+ 60 or 75 (tax) + cca 20$ shipping cost, plus 30-40$ of their profit, and you have 450-500$....and you are deciding for yourself are you ready to pay that much for a phone without guarantee (yes, on papir they do have it, but you have to send it back to china and wait....wait and wait....or you can get answer from Xiaomi that they do not cover international warenty, as i did).

or you can go and buy S7, iP6s, One 10, or any other flagship (in my case for less money), but on contract with your operator.
