Google to unveil Amazon Echo competitor at Google I/O, reports say

Today Google I/O kicks off. Google puts on a presentation of the past and future projects for the entire Google suite of products and services. One of the projects that Google’s been closely working on is apparently a direct competitor to Amazon’s rather successful smart device called the Echo, which is essentially a voice-activated information hub offering things like sports scores and real-time weather.

What can this assistant ,ca do more and Google Now ,can't?If it had a pico-projector ,some wheels,something extra,I'd say it's worth buying.It looks gimmicky.
