Google reveals Android Instant Apps, which run without installation

At Google I/O today one of the projects becoming official is Android Instant Apps. This basically means that you can run an app without installing it.

    so, in theory, I won't be needing my http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bhphoto&hl=en app from B&H anymore, right?

      Well, I think that nobody is seeing the benefits of this feature. The opportunities for a richer multimedia mobile web browsing is about to arrive. Lets say that with this every website can have their own instant app ready for you. I have a Samsung S5 and when I go to some websites they have a lot of lag even thought I have a capable device when scrolling its very awful because of the limitation of the html5. With this a website can show you a personalized video player with their own video codecs. Or are you gonna say that ometime you have gone to a website on your phone and realized that the video does nt show in your phone because it says something about the codec? This will resolve a lot of things.
      You can think about Instant games that you don't have even to install in your phone, if you like it you install it or even buy it.
      As a developer this feature is needed.

      You can think about it as a new way to implement plugins like the old times when you needed to install flash in your browser but with the difference that it is not flash player or anything like that . Actually it could be anything the developer wants.

                    Sounds good, but a friendlier web version/skinned app would do the job just fine in my opinion. Sometimes these apps don't have all functions that a web (no matter if mobile or normal web) version has. Plus because of Chrome, all details (names/passwords etc.) could be filled in very easily.

                        I really like it. Very usefull for viruses. I hope there will be no easy way to disable it.
