Google Cardboard app downloads hit 50 million milestone

Google has announced that a total of over 50 million VR apps for its Cardboard platform have been downloaded from the Play Store so far. The announcement was made by the company's head of VR Clay Bavor at the ongoing I/O 2016 conference.

There is plastic versions of cardboard as well. As a matter of fact, they are only a few dollars more, but you are getting head straps, and in some versions you can adjust the lenses for your eyes. Pay a few more bucks for the plastic versions to get a much better experience.
